We had an excellent final meal on our Italian adventure at Pizza Brandi. It came highly recommended by a famous member of our family and we finally found it by treking down that one alley. The waiter was a little pushy, but the food was outstanding and came out really fast. The best thing we ordered was a Margherita pizza, and rightfully so as they are known to have invented it.

Unfortunately, the experience didn't meet my expectations. As a Neapolitan, I found the Margherita pizza lacking in authenticity and the service too mass-tourism-oriented. In particular, the waiters' insistence and the request for tips are aspects that need to be addressed to offer a more genuine welcome.

The food is excellent, the service is less than friendly, almost aloof. The garden on the street has its own specifics: a scooter every 20 seconds is not a good backdrop.

Went to Naples for the day. I was on a mission to find this pizzeria. Found it in one of the back streets and managed to get the last table. We had the original Margherita, which seemed very popular. You will never taste pizza like this. Every pizza after this day will be a disappointment after eating their Margherita. It only cost 10 euros for a large pizza and that will be the best 10 euros you've ever spent.

The waiter recommended our entire order: pizza, pasta, caprese salad, even the wine pairing. It certainly wasn’t a bad choice other than it wasn’t a choice of ours. Everything was tasty and we felt satisfied but also felt that we just had someone else’s dinner. 😂

09/02/2026: It's a place I discovered many years ago, and every time I pass by, I stop for pizza. The pizza is amazing. This time, they let me try the DOC version with Piennolo tomatoes (typical of the Vesuvian area). What can I say? It was delicious! This tomato was so sweet, delicious, and flavorful, it tasted like a confit tomato. The place is very basic and could be improved a bit without losing its authenticity, but the pizza is phenomenal and excellent value. The owner and staff are also very authentic and kind.
