Pastificio Gabriella In Courmayeur

I have been to Pastificio Gabriella on several visits to Courmayeur. This is the #1 spot for desserts to accompany meals at home. Guests always ask me where I got the delicious cakes, custards and donuts. The staff package purchases with pride.

The setting is the bustling town of Courmayeur, a hip destination for the Valley's "taaac" tourism...and it's always worth a visit to this historic shop. Two clarifications: the first is that, for the first time, I found the dough slightly floury and less flavorful (but we're such picky eaters), and the second is the title of my semi-serious recipe book, if you want to have a laugh and learn the recipe for my apple pie: "Il Sorriso del Sofficino," written by me under the pseudonym Cicciochef (a character born during the recent crazy lockdown), is available on all platforms...including digital.

It's an incredible story to experience! Mrs. Gabriella is a Courmayeur institution. Excellent food and service. A guarantee, in short.
