We had high expectations—and truth be told, they were actually fulfilled: the place is well-kept, the dishes are well-presented, the atmosphere is trendy. However, something isn't right.
That very evening, after dinner, I (and others) had some pretty noticeable intestinal discomfort, which lasted for days. I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but it's not the first time I've heard similar episodes from those who've been there.
It's a shame, because the perceived quality of the dishes doesn't justify certain… surprisingly short digestion times. The place remains "cool," frequented by those who like to show off—designer waiters, glossy clientele.

I have been coming here a few times a year, from America and Dubai , where I live, for over 2 decades, and I was looking at the negative reviews. All the negative ones talk about “over priced” “tourist trap”. I hate these kinds of reviews , because it really doesn’t focus on the most important part - the product.
I travel 250,000 miles a year, eat at the best restaurants in the world - Michelin stars, etc. and I can say, Parma Rotta is one my top 3 restaurants in the world. If it was double the price, it would be be one of my top 3 restaurants in the world. If it was half the price, would be one of my top 3 restaurants in the world. So, forget price. People want a review of the food. Cheapskates want to know value.
I know the family for the last 25+ years that run it. In general, they care, their service is very attentive , but understand, they don't speak a lot of other languages, so probably any negative reviews on service is solely language barrier based. They’re wonderful people.
Overpriced? , or, maybe they simple can command their higher price. That’s a business decision and success. Not a reflection on them wanting to take advantage on anyone. If they were overpriced and not good, no one would go. That’s not the case.
We have a show twice a year for vintage high end collectibles (me, watches) , the Mercantefiere di Parma - and all the Italian dealers choose Parma Rotta multiple times during the show week. That says it all.
Go there. Have the Schiena, Fiorentina, or chicken - all top notch. And don't miss out on some of the best home made gelato I’ve ever experienced. And spend a few euros on some good local wine. Food is to be enjoyed, not financially analyzed. You won’t regret. Grazie, Parma Rotta, il tuo cliente di lunga data. .

Personally, I was a bit disappointed.
The food was average for Parma restaurants. The parking lot isn't very large (it's full on Saturdays). They don't have a changing table, and when I asked if they could heat up milk, they initially said no. Then, when I asked how other parents did it, they said they weren't used to having such small children (8 months) at the restaurant.

Excellent in a refined and elegant setting. Balanced dishes with impeccable presentation. Gelato reigns supreme in its various forms, especially fiordilatt. Be careful with the generous portions.

Although I've dined in practically every interior room in the past, I'd say the new outdoor dining area is nothing short of... fabulous. Antonio and the entire staff are very good and attentive in their service. The food, well, I'd say it's excellent in every way.

Un bellissimo posto sulla strada per Langhirano, che già richiama alla mente esperienze culinarie molto intriganti..ottimi piatti della tradizione adeguatamente rivisitati. Scelta di tagli di carne e di tipologie davvero notevole. Come notevole è la cantina adatta a soddisfare ogni esigenza di abbinamento. I dolci sono superlativi.
