Papaveri e Papere In San miniato

The "Papaveri e Papere" restaurant is located in the San Miniato district, just outside the town center. Last Sunday, we were guests at this location. We enjoyed a meat-based tasting menu for lunch; the dishes were expertly plated with quality ingredients and beautifully presented in a captivating color palette. A wide array of courses, masterfully prepared by the chef, helped create an ideal, relaxing atmosphere. The sommelier in charge recommended an excellent local wine pairing: the 100% Sanforte, and it was a perfect choice. All the staff were kind, empathetic, professional, and prompt, demonstrating a marked and meticulous "customer focus." The atmosphere was very refined, and the restaurant also has ample parking. The price was more than fair, considering the quality and quantity. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant is located on the outskirts of San Miniato Alto, with a beautiful hilly backdrop. The service is punctual, precise, and friendly: the waiters know the dishes well and are able to offer advice. The atmosphere is elegant, understated without being overbearing, and therefore particularly comfortable. Parking is available both in the parking lot in front and behind the restaurant, where there is also a small green space for children to play. The culinary offering, based on traditional flavors, is intuitive but not at all banal, and the dishes are a blend of well-balanced flavors. The menu is varied and includes meats such as lamb, ossobuco, wild boar, and even a few fish options. The truffle dishes are what makes the restaurant feel connected to its local area and contribute to its unique character. The quality/price ratio is truly excellent, considering the raw materials, the service, and the ambiance. The wine list is also good, with dedicated staff available to help you pair food and wine.

Elegant place, high quality food

Excellent food, a bit pricey, service was sometimes good, sometimes bad, depending on which waitress brought the food (one was very professional and kind, the other very annoyed).

A very positive experience. We had a tasting of the land and it was excellent, the dishes getting better and better! The service was truly excellent. We'll be back.

Papaveri & Papere catered for our wedding in Pietrasanta. we had a delightful tasting meal in the restaurant. The food and service on our wedding day was incredible. Thank you so much for all your efforts, we really appreciate it and can't wait to visit the restaurant again in the future.

Local cuisine well presented with a modern twist. Two tasting menus (meat and seafood) look interesting. We opted for truffles, since it's the end of the season, choosing from a dedicated menu, though not very extensive. The basket of breads is good. The wine list is adequate, with a few international selections. Service is friendly and attentive. The tasting menus are reasonably priced, but a bit less so for the truffle-based dishes (e.g., €36 for tagliolini).

A truly fantastic place, prices are a bit above average. I chose the land tasting. The ambiance is refined, the service impeccable and precise, and the food, finally, tastes fantastic. I highly recommend it!

Everything was excellent... and the Fassona steak was simply exquisite. Good value for money.

Excellent experience. The wines recommended by the sommelier were also excellent, as was the location. The food was fabulous, except for a small slip-up on the wild boar sirloin: it had been overcooked a bit and was tough to chew (which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for "food"). It's a shame because everything else was truly excellent.
