Intimate restaurant and excellent food

We began with a warm welcome from Laura, our highly regarded Maitre d' and Sommelier. Guests of the Palazzo Seneca Hotel, where the restaurant is located, enjoyed a tasting experience that explored the senses and tastes of refined, carefully prepared cuisine, embracing tradition with a modern twist and using only local products. An excellent menu, in keeping with seasonality, of the highest quality. The wines... a quality selection, featuring top labels, will guide you on this wonderful occasion... Come to Norcia, and come to Vespasia... highly recommended.

Masterful modern take on the ingredients most typical for the local cuisine. We had the Land tasting menu and it lived to every expectation and then some. Highly recommended.

A top restaurant in the heart of Norcia Staying in the adjacent hotel (Palazzo Seneca), we naturally couldn't miss the opportunity to try Vespasia. The restaurant, like many of its kind, is decorated in an elegant, minimalist style, with soft lighting and background music. The service is courteous and friendly, but sometimes a bit slow. The only person taking orders is the restaurant manager, so it took a long time from the moment we received the menu to when she came to take our order. The same thing happened with the wine order. Overall, it was very, very good, so if you're in the Norcia area and want a gourmet experience, I highly recommend it!

My cousin and I had been meaning to visit this magnificent restaurant for a year, and despite various commitments and logistical issues, we finally managed to go on Monday, August 16, 2025. What can I say? The cuisine is top-notch and deserves its full star. Two menus, "TERRA mio cugini" and "Acqua Io," were both delicious, with contrasts that only expert chefs can prepare and present to their guests. A wide selection of wines is available, although we opted for a very pleasant Birra Nursia Benedettina.

Great food, nice concepts and amazing products. Location was nice and interiors were impressive. Service is good.

In the small town of Norcia, renowned for its gastronomy, we enjoyed an evening at Vespasia, a restaurant in a castle inn. The location is ideal, right in the town center and in a magnificent building, with a vintage-modern interior, and a special touch at the restaurant's tables, where dedicated armchairs are available. We had a Terre menu, which was simply excellent, from the "Discovery of Norcia" appetizer, followed by the 5 stages (ending with a trompe l'oeil), with a special mention for the 3-course lamb from the Sibylline Hills, perhaps the best we've ever eaten. We would like to thank Laura and her team for their extremely professional, friendly, and attentive service, both from the head waiter and the waitress, throughout the meal, enhancing our experience. We were also very well advised on the wines, which remain at "reasonable" prices (€60 a bottle). In our opinion, the excellence of this dinner (quality of the cuisine, quality of the dining room and venue, and excellent service) could even lead to a 2* rating.

Undeniably an excellent restaurant. The Orto menu, featuring four dishes based on garden vegetables, followed by a dessert, is a true delight. All for less than 100 euros per person. That's a small price for a Michelin-starred restaurant. Only criticisms: 1/ the appetizer menu is illegible (printed in a faint gray, in small letters on white paper... ridiculous and illegible!). 2/ the breads, appetizers, intermediate dishes, and desserts are too numerous and copious, as is often the case in this type of restaurant, risking spoiling the appetite. Which is a real shame considering the excellence of the cuisine.

A wonderful experience for our 20th wedding anniversary. Laura and the team truly took care of us. The young man serving us made a delicious recommendation of a local sparking wine, so so delicious. We had the Terra menu, where truly tasty food came in abundance. My favourite course was the lamb which had delightful Asian notes. A beautiful restaurant, with beautiful staff and beautiful food, you must dine here.
