Excellent! The place is aesthetically beautiful in its simplicity. The carbonara is amazing, as are the supplì (special mention for the carbonara one), and the tiramisu is also delicious.
The welcome was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful!
Highly recommended!!

Everything was good, decent portions, fair prices. I'd get bottled water if I could give a tip, not filtered water. Otherwise, everything was fine.

The price is a factor. If you're willing to spend €40 per person, this is the place to be. It's good, but not great, only because some of the food, like the fried food, is frozen. Everything else is good, but lacking in any real flavor. The location is a bit predictable, and in 2026, it's no longer enough to hang four photos of Roman actors from La Dolce Vita on the walls. We were served by a very friendly and quick waiter of Chinese origin. The dining room was crowded and really noisy, making it hard to talk.

Al Volemose Bene was a pleasant discovery in Milan for those who want to enjoy authentic Roman cuisine. The restaurant offers traditional Roman dishes, carefully prepared with respect for the original flavors.
The carbonara and gricia are excellent, well-balanced, and rich in flavor; the porchetta is equally delicious, very flavorful and of high quality. Overall, the food is truly excellent and is a strong point of the restaurant.
The interior is quite intimate but welcoming. We chose to sit on the outdoor terrace, heated with mushrooms, a solution that proved comfortable and pleasant even on the coolest days.
The service was good and friendly; the waiter, in particular, was very friendly and helpful, helping make the experience even more enjoyable. A recommended restaurant for those who want to savor authentic Roman cuisine in the heart of Milan.

We visited this Roman osteria in Milan with fairly high expectations. The place is charming and welcoming, a classic traditional Roman osteria, with a warm, convivial atmosphere that invites you to sit down. It's also very similar to another well-known Roman osteria chain in the city, so much so that I initially thought it was the original, though I'm not entirely sure which one is.
We started with a fritto de Roma: I understand the area (Via G. Washington) and the associated prices, but €12 for 2 olives, 2 small crochette, 2 eggplant meatballs, 1 supplì, and 1 zucchini flower... is objectively disproportionate. The quality is decent, the quantity decidedly insufficient.
Unfortunately, the first courses were the main disappointments. The amatriciana my boyfriend ordered was less than convincing: you couldn't taste the guanciale unless you ate it, the pasta was slightly overcooked, and the sauce tasted like boiled tomatoes, lacking the typical amatriciana flavor.
I chose the cacio e pepe with artichokes: overall, it was good, especially the center of the artichoke, which was soft and flavorful.
A positive note on the service: the waiter was very friendly and pleasant, perfectly in keeping with the osteria atmosphere.
In conclusion, a pleasant and welcoming place, with good service, but with dishes that didn't quite live up to expectations. A decent experience, but one that leaves a bit of a regret for what could have been.

The restaurant is gorgeous! Tidy and elegant, you can really feel the atmosphere of Rome! Iconic photos of Roman actors... beautiful! We had an appetizer of artichokes Jewish-style. Then carbonara, amatriciana, and gricia. All delicious! My favorite is the gricia! The carbonara perhaps had too much pecorino. Anyway, everything was fine. Then abbacchio and saltimbocca Roman-style. To finish, tiramisu. Delicious!
