OSTERIA SAN MARCO In Chivasso

Osteria San Marco is a small restaurant in the historic center of Chivasso. Personally, I don't consider it a tavern, even if there is a long wine list, which is reduced to 3 or 4 if you choose to drink wine by the glass. The restaurant is very elegant and intimate, certainly ideal for a romantic dinner. The service is kind, although not always attentive, perhaps because the table is followed by at least 3 different waiters and this leads to a bit of confusion. The dishes are good, the raw materials are of high quality, in my personal taste not all the ingredients mix well together, but you can see that there is research behind them and that there is the intention to aim high. There is an à la carte menu, or the possibility of choosing a meat or fish tasting menu. Personally I found the quantity of food served in line with a tasting menu, but the quantity of dishes was not, I believe that a tasting menu requires more dishes, given that the quantities are smaller. Prices are medium/high, appropriate for the idea of ​​the restaurant you want to give. Definitely recommended for a different dinner than usual

What can I say...a wonderful discovery. My wife and I celebrated our 3 years of marriage and chose the meat tasting menu. All very good. We will definitely come back to try the fish one 😍

Friendly staff but exaggerated wait, very small size and excessive price. In reference to the owner's response: the need to be rude in the response to the point of saying that 'he didn't even understand what he ate' at this point also leaves doubts about your kindness. In any case, I remain of my opinion regarding the portions (especially the pici you mentioned) and the wait for the first courses and even the desserts. Goodbye

We passed by here by chance... dressed for work but we didn't feel uncomfortable... the place is really nice and the atmosphere harks back to times gone by... we only tasted the first courses because we were in a bit of a hurry... all really delicious... I hope to be able to return more calmly, even if far from my home... the dessert, the gianduiotto, is an absolute must try... I highly recommend trying this restaurant.. the service is friendly and attentive.. made you feel welcome in their home.
