Osteria San Giorgio In Lucca

The outdoor space is beautiful. We sat indoors with the AC and were happy for it. The decor is a bit hodge lodge, and I wouldn’t recommend the place based on the inside ambience- BUT- who cares? It was a good temperature, not too noisy, and both the service and the food were great. I would recommend any go. And great value for the money. My family of four loved everything we got (except the house red wine- next time, we’ll just buy a bottle). The mixed antipasti- so good! The stuffed pasta in a ragu- we had to order a second- the simple grilled steak- tender and flavourful. The contient- spinach and potatoes- yep, perfect. The chicken? Exceeded our expectations. We were too full for dessert but I bet they’re all authentic and tasty and not too heavy, either. (Oh, one last thing, the olive oil they brought to the table was also very good quality and so tasty)

Wonderful; memorable pasta dishes there include spaghetti à la vongole, and a seafood carbonara; the place is pretty, be it the courtyard or inside and it is above all both refined and laid back - a balance that us no mean feat.

Lovely experience. Locals dining here speaks alot for the great quality food.

We stumbled on this place on our last night in Lucca and it didn’t disappoint. Highly recommend. The food was jam packed with authentic flavours, the quality of the ingredients was excellent and the portions were generous. The service was A+!

Very friendly and attentive service, a great outdoor seating area, and the food is exceptionally delicious and, unlike the tourist hotspots, more affordable. My wife had the tourist menu, which is unbeatable value for two dishes for €20, and I even got an (excellent) bruschetta on the house since I didn't have a primo, only a secondo. I highly recommend a visit!

We have eaten here before, and both times, the food was amazing. The staff are very friendly and, by Lucca standards, the prices are reaso able. It's a bit hidden away down a narrow street, but once inside the gate there is a beautiful and quiet courtyard.

I really liked the place. Very fresh and clean. Excellent staff, disarmingly kind and polite. Excellent food. It was an oasis of pleasure.

Of the many good restaurants I've visited in Italy, this is the best! Everything is just perfect here: the food, the ambiance, outside on the terrace, tucked away in a less traveled alley. Even the simple house wine is top-notch. The Carbonara di Mare is amazing! If we're in the area, we'll stop off in Lucca one evening just for that.

Petite table trouvée sans réservation, en extérieur. Accueil sympathique. Nous avons testé la viande Fiorentina, succulente, tendre !! Bouteille de vin rouge, puis panacotta. Très bon repas, restaurant recommande !

No habíamos reservado, pero el propietario nos encontró una mesa y era muy servicial. Tuvimos excelentes entrantes seguidos por el filete de filete que se cocinó a la perfección. Sin duda volveremos , la próxima vez con una reserva.
