We visited this restaurant with a local friend, and I must say we were pleasantly surprised: top-quality ingredients and perfect, never boring combinations. The egg and eggplant millefeuille were excellent. We'll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful meal. A very friendly welcome. There was a lovely view into the kitchen, and the food was delicious. We started with borata with local ham and had lasagna for the main course. The lasagna was surprisingly wrapped in a bun with breadcrumbs on top. The wine was also delicious. In short, highly recommended.

We had an awesome dinner at Osteria San Francesco. Very small place, very nice decorated and with super service. Every course was just awesome and Tasty. Price is really decent for the Quality. Will come again. Thanks to the whole Crew.

Bel locale nel centro di Matera, cibo locale rivisto da cuoco molto competente anche se un po’ alti i prezzi ma la qualità è alta. Però non è pensabile di mangiare in locale di questo livello solo sul tavolo senza una tovaglia di stoffa e nemmeno una tovaglietta di carta. Questo è fortemente richiesto, per cui do solo 4 di punteggio !

Quando c’è passione si percepisce sui piatti… Ogni pietanza, a partire da quella più semplice,non ti stanchi mai di mangiarla: sapori delicati,bilanciati e fatti semplicemente con amore per la cucina. In ultimo,Il fatto che ha la cucina a vista per me ha già una marcia in più! Lo consiglio

07/10/2025: A refined restaurant in the heart of Matera. The cuisine was of excellent quality, with a good selection of local wines, and the service was efficient and friendly.
05/10/2025: If you go to Matera and consider yourself a foodie do.not.miss.going here! The food was amazing, the staff gracious (we were early for our reservation and then afterwards had to wait there for our tour guide to arrive) and view from the patio spectacular. Chef came out after to chat. My son-in-law ran a Michelin star restaurant in Manhattan and I think this place is worthy!

15/09/2025: I had lunch there just yesterday, for my nephew Andrea's birthday. The products were entirely homemade and truly top-quality. I'd love to go back. A 10 out of 10! 💯
