Perfect. Thanks 2025.
We wanted to come back in 2026, it opened at 6:30 pm, and was still closed at 6:40 pm... oh well!

The menu is extremely well-curated and of excellent quality. The variations on the theme in terms of cooking and presentation are truly remarkable.

Are they cheating us on the Christmas menu? We'll see when it comes to the bill...as far as I know, potatoes and shrimp are cheaper than porcini mushrooms and scallops...

They brought us a different bottle than the one we ordered, an extra dry instead of a brut. It arrived already opened in the cooler, and we had to serve it ourselves, only to discover that the dosage wasn't the one we'd ordered. They brought us the bottle and set it on the table, saying, "This is the wine," before walking away. A bit disappointing service.

Excellent lunch in the charming town of Cividale del Friuli.
Pleasant service. The gentleman who took our order perfectly recommended the right wine to pair with our dishes. The young lady who looked after us was impeccable in her attention to our comfort. I enjoyed the raw ham appetizer and the ravioli in mussel stew. My husband had a calamari fettuccine appetizer with a chickpea and rosemary cream, followed by squid ink spaghetti with sea urchins—everything was perfect. The tiramisu was excellent. The price was reasonable for the quality of the dishes and the attentive service. We will gladly return.

Let me start by saying that we try a different place in Friuli every week, but this time it was Alla Speranza, which I had included in this group of restaurants. The welcome was average, and the staff were kind enough to reserve a table. The location is beautiful, with three different dining rooms, two of which were even more beautiful than the other. The dishes, including those offered off-menu, were very well prepared, and the quality was noteworthy, except for the first course—tortelloni or similar fish-filled dishes with a mussel stew. They weren't thrilling, not because of the sauce, which was superb, but because of the colorful pasta, which tasted like nothing. Perhaps a lasagna or something else would be better. The wine from local producers was really good. On a negative note, the service seemed subpar at times; you couldn't pour other wine into the same glasses, especially in places where another type of wine had been tasted. The glasses had to be changed at all costs, and the placemats weren't exactly attractive; a standard tablecloth with stain protectors would have been a good choice in a place like this. This rating is based on our personal experience compared to other reviewed restaurants. All things considered, we'd be happy to return. The owner was very kind.
