I had the pleasure of having lunch at the Al Mattarello restaurant in Varese and was pleasantly impressed. The restaurant is welcoming and intimate, with a rustic and familiar atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to recommend the dishes of the day and answer questions. The menu offers a wide choice of dishes, all prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients. I found several options that tickled my taste buds and I had a hard time choosing! The portions are generous and the quality-price ratio is excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality, authentic dining experience in Varese.

Restaurant in the center of Varese in a beautiful and quiet location, good service and good dishes on offer. Excellent wines 🍷 and fair prices based on the level of the cuisine offered.

Nice place, very good and tasty cuisine with different types of very tasty dishes. The only flaw is that for some dishes the price seems rather high, but I still recommend it.

Cena con amici in questo storico locale, buona accoglienza, buon servizio. Cucina nella media, prezzi piuttosto alti. Merita però menzione la tagliata di canguro, ancorché non sia un tipico piatto varesino. Antipasto per 3, 4 primi e una tagliata di canguro, due dolci al prezzo di 180 euro.

Il ristorante è carino e offre spazi per convivialità e tranquillità ormai perduti in molti altri posti (dove spesso si viene ammassati). Personale molto cortese, buon servizio. La carta offre ampia varietà di cucina italiana di terra e di mare, con fuori menù stagionali interessanti. Piatti ben curati, buona cucina e porzioni generose (altre caratteristiche non scontate). Soddisfatti anche dei dolci. Prezzi allineati ai ristoranti in centro a Varese, ma a mio avviso qui si può godere di maggiore intimità e professionalità.

02/04/2024: Delicious food, fish based starters lovely - excellent wine, friendly and courteous service. Nice view of the lake too. Would be great in summer as there are tables outside. Parking over the road.
