Visited twice in the past two years. The most amazing food I had ever. Very nice owners, special atmosphere. Not easy to book table, remember do it in advance.

Roberta and Tonino are chef and host, respectively, at Il Canevaro restaurant, nestled between the palaces and the countryside of the village of Sellano. You can unknowingly delve into the history of people, through flavors that are tales that become reawakened memories. Dedication and passion are the key that makes this little place, more than any other qualification, a "UNESCO World Heritage Site" to be preserved and protected against the standardization we're used to. 04/06/2026: Excellent gelato with quality ingredients and completely handmade. A must visit for anyone in Spoleto, tourists and locals, for true Italian gelato. The granita is also super good, I have tried the pistachio one with "panna" (whipped cream) and it was amazing , not too sweet!!They have another shop in the historic town centre. Even in Italy is not so easy to find high quality gelato nowadays, so the true artisans need to be rewarded!!!
