Osteria Fara In Milano

This restaurant lives up to the reviews. Complementary Prosecco upon arrival. Friendly and professional (and funny) staff. Food was excellent. Homemade bread and aioli to start. Lobster linguini and osso-buco were exceptionally well done and worth a try. Homemade tiramisu and complementary lemon cello to finish. Well done! Worth a visit.

I am Spanish, I was going back to my hotel and the owner helped me and I ate like a king, I recommend all Milanese and people from all over the world to eat here, highly recommended

Wow, this is an all-time Italian legend restaurant so I hope it doesn’t become famous!! To be honest, I thought I would never come back again because there was nothing to do in Milan and the restaurant staff were so chic, but after visiting this restaurant, those thoughts disappeared! By my standards, it's a Michelin 3 star (worth a visit just for the restaurant alone)! Be sure to try the uno(1) red wine recommended by Nicolas staff!! This is the second full bottle of wine for two steaks. jmt copper~

We liked everything we ate, the pasta vongole and the frito misto, all quite good. Service was great! Close to the train station after a long day.

Personale simpatico, prezzi giusti, porzioni abbondanti, cibo ottimo, menu vario. Cena per due un martedì di agosto; un sacco di osterie "milanesi" sono chiuse; per puro caso prenotiamo qui un tavolo per le 21:15 (prenotazione fatta alle 21). Arriviamo e veniamo fatti accomodare al tavolo; chiediamo se ce ne possono dare un altro (c'era troppo caldo) e ci spostano senza problemi. Menu ampio e pieno di piatti locali. Ordiniamo una cotoletta alla milanese, una costata al sangue, e un ossobuco con risotto; da bere, due bottiglie d'acqua (e poi, a seguire, due dolci). Ci vogliono circa 20 minuti prima che ci portino tutto (tempi giusti per i piatti richiesti). Il cibo è tutto delizioso e le portate sono più che generose. Tutti e tre i piatti sono eccellenti. Buonissimo anche il pane (che è più una focaccia che del pane). I dolci pure sono squisiti (torta di mele con gelato e tiramisù). Prezzo totale: 88€: più che meritati (a fine cena ci hanno anche offerto un digestivo). Titolare e camerieri simpaticissimi. Ci tornerei sicuramente la prossima volta che passo da Milano!

I cannot say enough about the fantastic service here. You are greeted with champagne, and leave with a shot of lemoncello. The wait staff is entertaining and spot on. Food is great also.
