A renowned restaurant serving traditional Pavia dishes, some with a modern twist. The food is very good, the atmosphere is very refined, and the staff is truly friendly and attentive. However, our only complaint is that we found the service to be very quick between courses.

Osteria Della Madonna Da Peo ..and in Pavia ..located in the old Ligurian streets ..this is a true point of reference if you want to take a real journey into the old gastronomy of the Oltrepo Pavese tradition. Eating in an environment well cared for in every detail and arranged on many levels. Where you can breathe the air of the old inns ..of many years ago. But with a pinch of refinement. Here you start with the very fragrant Varzi salami and continue with the giardiniera and other delicious appetizers ..and immediately after arrives at the table his majesty "the risotto seasoned with salami paste ..and Croatina and also with Berrettina pumpkin. Everything is accompanied by excellent Oltrepo wines and at the end you are served coffee with the Faema coffee machine...from 1964, and I guarantee it is still in good working order...which releases all the aroma of coffee". So if you want to spend a different but original weekend it is better to pass through Pavia...come and try the Osteria della Madonna Da Peo...you will be surprised.

Booked at the last minute, it was truly a wonderful discovery. The food is spectacular and the service truly attentive and pleasant. It was my husband's birthday, and as soon as they saw the candle, they came over with a Polaroid and took a souvenir photo of us. Everything was perfect.

What more can I say? 5-star rating for everything. From the elegant, refined setting with a soft atmosphere, to the discreet and attentive staff. Every course delights the palate. It's impossible to describe. You have to go and taste it!!! Highly recommended!

Excellent, sophisticated, and carefully prepared dishes. Excellent service. It's not cheap, but the price is average for the category. They could vary the menu a little more, but what they do, they do very well.

Exceptional quality and service

If you're near Pavia, I highly recommend eating here. It was recommended to me by a colleague, and it didn't disappoint; in fact, it exceeded my expectations. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and helpful, ready to offer valuable menu suggestions when needed. The menu has a limited number of dishes, but this allows them to carefully craft each dish down to the smallest detail, from the chef's welcome to the dessert. The Madonna appetizer in particular, featuring hot and cold single portions, each with its own identity and flavor, perfectly reflects the restaurant's offerings. The goose-filled ravioli are sublime, with a decidedly perfect balance of flavors. The price seemed in line with the quality of the ingredients served.

A very charming restaurant with attention to detail. Above all, the Madonna appetizer is, I think, the best appetizer I've ever had. Sensational. I'll be back, with a smile.

Lunch with friends. We'd heard about this restaurant, but I have to admit the experience was much better than expected. The dishes were top-notch, the local wine selection was highly appreciated, and the price was more than fair. We'll be back.
