Italy - Marche - Cartoceto, as much Italy in the air and on the plate as you can only experience in your imagination. The setting is like in the film, the small Italian town, romantic, sandstone colored - historically dreamy. A few tables and chairs on the street, fresh food from the region on the menu - and let's not kid ourselves: at star level, Eva-Maria knows exactly what she's doing here, even if she's not a native Italian. Service is excellent, attentive and relaxed, wines from our own vineyard, a selection of olive oil (4) from local producers, and the tables are beautifully set. A place where you can shed a tear because of the charm and the spoiled palate. The card is reinvented every week by Eva-Maria and artistically implemented with deep knowledge. The Marche region stands for enjoyment, deceleration, year-round truffles and cartoceto with the Osteria Cardinale (as well as the Cheese Guru Beltrami around the corner) could easily be the center. The black fish balls are so great that we come back 2 days later to eat them again. The risotto jumps back and forth in your mouth because of its liveliness, the lamb chops actually need nothing but themselves! GREAT! The language spoken is Italian - but Eva-Maria happens to understand German fantastically. Next year in May, after a hibernation, we'll be back in the Osteria del Cardinale - let's see what's on the table 🪄

Tutto molto curato, ottimo cibo e massima attenzione ai minimi particolari. Cameriera molto cortese e gentile, preparata su tutto quanto le veniva richiesto. Ovviamente i prezzi sono coerenti con il livello del locale. Complimenti 👍

Small and delightful tavern in the village of Cartoceto. Tables both outdoors and indoors. With last night Saturday August 26th 30 degrees at 9pm we had dinner outside. What can I say, we were greeted by a very nice and kind girl. The dishes are not typical of a somewhat particular tavern. My husband and I had a starter of watermelon soup with good fresh goat cheese, a tagliatelle with black truffle and maltagliati with sausage, aubergines and ricotta, truly excellent fresh homemade pasta. To finish, a tiramisu with salted caramel at the end of the meal, a little heavy but good. All accompanied by an excellent Verdicchio, the wines are exclusively from the Marche region. Very professional service, the girl proved to be very prepared and kind. Prices above average. We will definitely be back
