I was in Gubbio with my husband and on the advice of a friend, we went to Rosita to try the typical dish of Gubbio, FRICCO'. We also tried the jugged deer. CONGRATULATIONS FOR EVERYTHING.

A perfect, magnificent place!
We ate a house appetizer, chicken fricco, salmied deer, water, coffee, bitters, house wine... €48!
The welcome is super homely, the mood too... the portions are super generous!
Don't be scared by the menu... it is read by the owner's daughter, seven dishes in total plus three desserts, all homemade by them.

But what a wonderful place! If you want to feel at home and eat genuine food this is definitely the right place. Very informal and welcoming. The "eat what there is" formula avoids waste and gives you the opportunity to taste the house's signature dishes.
Afterwards we went to see the show "Cuochi d'Italia" where Mrs. Rosita (owner and chef) won with her fricco'.
The bill paid lower than average. Another pleasant surprise.
A wonderful experience that I highly recommend.

We went for lunch, found a tavern via Google Maps, took the full menu and really enjoyed it. All very good from the starter with local cold cuts, cheese, the first tagliatelle with mushrooms and truffle, the second suckling pig with potatoes and sweet chicken, coffee etc. The cost was very good given everything we took. Very satisfied 👍
