I went to the Osteria dei Massari in Candela for a Sunday lunch with friends and I must say that I was positively impressed. The food was exceptional, prepared with high quality local products. The structure of the tavern was very nice and characteristic, creating a welcoming and familiar atmosphere. The staff, composed of kind and attentive waiters, made the experience even more pleasant. Furthermore, I found the prices to be more than reasonable considering the quality of the food and the service provided. Overall, it was a really enjoyable and satisfying lunch. I highly recommend Osteria dei Massari to all those who wish to enjoy authentic local cuisine in a welcoming environment, with excellent value for money. I look forward to returning to try more culinary delights and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this place again.

Bella Masseria dove si respira il l'ambiente e il lavoro rurale. L'atmosfera calda e accogliente è quella di casa e la passione per la propria terra e per il proprio lavoro sono ben evidenti nei piatti proposti con tutti i prodotti dell'azienda per un tuffo nei sapori genuini. Having lunch in this place was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant presented an exquisite menu, full of local, zero-mile products, such as an extraordinary pesto made from borage and wild herbs harvested from the surrounding land, excellent cheeses and a respectable wine produced directly by the owner. The restaurant is completely surrounded by greenery, surrounded by splendid olive groves, set in one of the quietest and most relaxing villages in the region. Montegrosso can also be counted among the Health Villages. The service was impeccable, very kind hosts and waiters with particular care towards their guests. Absolutely recommended!

Siamo andati lo scorso we in questa masseria trovandoci di passaggio dalle parti del Castello e che dire una gran bella scoperta. Personale molto gentile e professionale, servizio molto buono e pietanze veramente gustose.

06/04/2024: Beautiful location with healthy and genuine dishes dedicated to those who don't have great expectations
14/03/2024: In the countryside near Castel del Monte, this "tavern", housed in an old farmhouse completely renovated preserving the "rustic" characteristics of the farmhouses of rural and active Puglia, offers large rooms, with trusses and "exposed" wooden roof , such as stone masonry walls. The atmosphere is therefore the right one and typical of the Apulian hinterland. The welcome is good, the service is courteous and punctual, the furnishings and place settings are in harmony with the environments. Now let's get to the dishes. The proposal is varied but obviously favors traditional Apulian dishes to which however the chef adds a personal touch that enhances the dishes. The "house" wine, local, black or rosé, is of quality as can obviously be a bulk wine. The price is reasonable compared to the servings and therefore, all things considered, the evaluation is fully positive.
