It’s a hidden gem 💗 the food tasted amazing, the soup is must-have if somebody visits Trieste! The service was also top tier.

We tried Osteria da Marino for dinner, very kind and professional staff, the food was really excellent, the place inside was particular and very cute. We had dinner outside and we had a great time. Highly recommended for everything, it's a shame it's too far to go back because we come from Sardinia but I highly recommend it.

We came to Trieste for an alternative Sunday....we were attracted by the environment, the friendliness of the staff....we will definitely return because we ate very well. The staff was very precise in describing the dishes....nice.....top! Really good😊

Loved every second of this restaurant. Service was brilliant, food was delicious &, although we sat outside, sitting inside would have been just as enjoyable due to the setting.

Very friendly osteria and the food is very good. Niels speaks French and Italian and will guide you in your menu choices. A very good evening spent with friends.

Nel pieno centro è un'osteria storica che sfugge al rischio di proporsi come ristorante turistico. Il sapore è quello di una vera osteria, come il menù, ricco di piatti tipici. Accoglienza e servizio da manuale, ottima preparazione sui vini, piatti tipici ben preparati con ingredienti di qualità. Non conoscevo la "caldaia", vi ho colto qualche imperfezione (il wurstel e la lingua un po' secchi...), ma parliamo di spigolature per uan cena favolosa. Grazie!

Locale informale, caldo, multietnico. Una grande cantina di vini prevalentemente locali. I ragazzi disponibili alle spiegazioni e cordiali oltremodo, ti fanno sentire a casa. Ho apprezzato l’abbinamento che mi hanno proposto. Ottimo il filetto. Saporiti e buoni i formaggi. Tornerò

18/06/2025: Many restaurants in Trieste have a strange habit (from a non-Italian perspective) of working short hours in the morning, taking a long break during the day, and working evenings. In other words, at approximately 3 PM you don't have many options and you go to whichever restaurant is open. That is the main reason we chose this restaurant. The pizza we ate was okay, but nothing to write home about (the crust was almost tasteless, and the toppings weren't made from the best ingredients, especially the mozzarella cheese). The service was okay but nothing fancy, and the overall experience was: "it was okay, but..."

15/07/2025: The restaurant is located in the Movida Triestina area, an informal, welcoming and well-kept atmosphere. The staff is attentive and fast and always brings a smile with them. The menu is varied, meat and fish as well as classic Triestine dishes. Cooked ham and horseradish and glera must never be missing from the table. Pets are allowed and I must say that they are very pampered with pieces of ham. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. Highly recommended.
08/07/2025: Very friendly staff. The penne with shrimp was fabulous, with average prices. Must try.
