Great little restaurant right in the centre. Friendly staff , very attentive! Local food , the stinco di maiale is delicious. The local soup ,Jota , as well highly recommended!

We had dinner at this restaurant during a visit to the city. The restaurant is located in the historic center of Trieste in the pedestrian area. The restaurant is informal, simple, yet welcoming, and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Service is fairly quick, and the staff is very professional, friendly, and helpful. The menu is varied and features typical local dishes. The dishes are excellent and carefully selected, and the wine cellar is excellent. The young team managing the service is very competent, and the prices are average and consistent with the menu. Highly recommended, and kudos to the entire staff. Reservations are recommended.

Seeing such knowledgeable young people so attentive to the customer's every need was wonderful. They were knowledgeable and able to explain what we were eating and drinking. The food is traditional but carefully selected, locally sourced and from local producers; the taste really makes the difference. About the location. Look at the photos! A truly historic place, where history is evident in the stratifications of the objects and everything harks back to the beginning: 1925.

It is a really nice place. No wonder why is it almost always full, specially if you want a couple of glasses of wine. They let you play the piano sometimes if there is no high music playing in the background.

Nel pieno centro è un'osteria storica che sfugge al rischio di proporsi come ristorante turistico. Il sapore è quello di una vera osteria, come il menù, ricco di piatti tipici. Accoglienza e servizio da manuale, ottima preparazione sui vini, piatti tipici ben preparati con ingredienti di qualità. Non conoscevo la "caldaia", vi ho colto qualche imperfezione (il wurstel e la lingua un po' secchi...), ma parliamo di spigolature per uan cena favolosa. Grazie!

Sia il servizio che il cibo sono eccellenti. Ho ordinato degli gnocchi che, nonostante mi siano sembrati un po' piccoli come porzione, sono stati i migliori che abbia mai mangiato in vita mia. Semplicemente fantastici.
Il locale è piccolo, ma molto accogliente, e i prezzi sono giusti.
