A trattoria where you can immerse yourself in the traditional flavors of Trieste, surrounded by a cozy atmosphere. We started dinner with frico and a cheese platter: the frico was good, although we've tried better, but the variety of cheeses and the homemade apple and pepper compote were excellent. The variety of bread served is noteworthy, especially the onion one (it's a shame there was only one left, because it was truly delicious!). The real highlight of the evening, however, was the strucoli in straza: a fresh pasta dish with ricotta and a savory and flavorful cabbage cream. A first course I highly recommend!

We were looking for a typical trattoria that wasn't too touristy, and the B&B owner recommended this one. I have to say, we were really pleased! The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the food is truly delicious. A great plus, not to be underestimated, is that it's also open on Sundays.
We ordered frico and tartare as appetizers, then we had the pork shank, but the highlight was the strucoli: incredibly tasty and melt-in-your-mouth, I keep dreaming about them!

A truly special place! First and foremost, the warm welcome and impeccable service, courtesy, professionalism, and a smile. The food is exquisite, made with local products, and the menu offers a taste of traditional cuisine. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend it.

This is our second time dining at this osteria, and it always lives up to our expectations. Excellent cuisine with high-quality ingredients and cured meats from small local producers, fast service, and well-explained dishes by the owner. There's limited seating, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Recommended for savoring local cuisine.

After prior reservation, we arrived a little early and while they were preparing our table, we drank sparkling rosé and brut Emerana Reya, which was very good. To start, we ordered sformatino di verdura, which was excellent because of Zidarich's Tabor cheese and went perfectly with the Lisjak Pinot noir. The next dishes were beef goulash and stinco with mashed potatoes. Both the Pinot noirs, the german Noll and the french Domaine de l'Idylle went perfectly. The service was fast and professional, and all the wines were fresh and properly served. Considering the offer, the price was reasonable. We will be happy to come to this interesting old, traditional osteria again.

When I enter a restaurant and smell the wonderful aroma of food that reminds me of the hearth, I already know I'm in the right place. The super professional, attentive, and meticulous waiters, especially when it comes to explaining the allergens on each dish, confirm this. Dishes rich in flavor and tradition are an explosion of tastes on the palate, harking back to the historic traditions of the area. Everything is excellent; the chestnut, ricotta, and salted caramel mousse... the icing on the cake.

Excellent experience. Superlative food. Young staff very attentive to the customer. Especially since they don't have a wine list, but we discuss the best option together before tasting. Compliments (especially from the 11-year-old who devoured a fantastic ham hock).
