A downtown osteria. To give you an idea of how much my wife and I enjoyed it, I'll just say we went there two nights in a row. The food was excellent. The wine the host recommended was truly excellent.

Nice restaurant, very nice service. But the wait is a bit long. Also, if possible, book in advance. The meat was delicious, but the portions are not large. The wine was refined and delicious. Our waiter was very polite and helped us with our choice. We were in the restaurant with dogs, so I think it will not be a problem if you are with your four-legged pets.

Since some downtown restaurants were closed for vacation during this period (August), we found this Osteria open and asked if there was room for two people for dinner. Unfortunately, since we didn't have a reservation, we couldn't dine here, but we reserved two seats for the following evening.
Typical Trieste food, which we (as tourists) were looking for. We especially wanted to try the Jota and Caldaia triestina, which at this place, unlike others, they also serve in the summer.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.
Welcoming atmosphere.
The prices were a bit high, but the food was good.

Nel pieno centro è un'osteria storica che sfugge al rischio di proporsi come ristorante turistico. Il sapore è quello di una vera osteria, come il menù, ricco di piatti tipici. Accoglienza e servizio da manuale, ottima preparazione sui vini, piatti tipici ben preparati con ingredienti di qualità. Non conoscevo la "caldaia", vi ho colto qualche imperfezione (il wurstel e la lingua un po' secchi...), ma parliamo di spigolature per uan cena favolosa. Grazie!
