The food is delicious; you can tell it's authentic and homemade. The staff is super friendly, and the outdoor terrace is very pleasant. Go early, because it took a while to serve us.

There were 2 of us... we had a very good appetizer, cold cuts and fresh cheeses. A glass of rosé was very good, but the only disappointing thing was the tagliata (unfortunately eaten by a Cicciaio connoisseur like myself). I had seen the price and was amazed by the cost (at least 2-3 euros less than the normal price), so we ordered it. The cooking was perfect, the problem is that the meat was tough, very sinewy, and not blended enough. We ate it because the flavor was good, so the kitchen had done everything perfectly, perhaps the butcher a little less. But we will be back to try again...

We drove to San Casciano one evening without a plan. This place looked well-maintained. Delicious suggestions with truffles. Definitely recommended!

Absolutely worth a try... a typical Tuscan trattoria, with excellent dishes and fantastic meat. Satana's tiramisu is also excellent! Typical, pleasant and informal atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff... a lovely place 🩷

The restaurant is easily accessible and conveniently located on the city center promenade. You can get there either from the large square or from the start of the promenade. The food is excellent, truly delicious, and the staff are very friendly! We'll be back!

We loved it! We're traveling through Tuscany with the family and have already tried several restaurants in the town. I highly recommend it. Homemade and very good food. Typical dishes and a very friendly atmosphere. We had a wonderful dinner on the terrace located on one of the town's pedestrian streets. We loved the antipasti (vegetable crumble and fondue). And the truffle pasta was spectacular. The crespelle (a type of pancake) filled with ricotta and spinach was a real hit. Highly recommended! 😋😊

We had awesome evenings at the gatto re during our vacation. The owners are super nice and I had the best Bistecca alla fiorentina ever. I would always visit again!

Excellent restaurant in the center of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, among the Chianti hills. Impeccable service, lovely environment with lots of references to cats. Excellent dishes, I don't give my best only for the temperature of the cut which was not optimal but in a mixed grill it can happen. Excellent wine map!
