Welcoming atmosphere. Excellent and friendly service. Tortelli with ragù and wild boar are below average for the area. Pici all'aglione are delicious (the owner grows it in the Valdichiana). Crostini are neither good nor bad.

I was on holiday at the Muggello Verde campsite, I saw the reviews and photos of the Florentine steak they offered, well what can I say, very very good, if you are passing through I recommend a stop.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. The food was incredibly good, and the service was super friendly. We had to come back the next day because we wanted to try more! The best meal so far on our trip across Italy!

Trattoria Il Francescano

04/12/2025: Atmosphere is very good, portions are very generous. For the first time in my life I had more meat sauce then pasta in my local Bolognese pasta version.
22/11/2025: Great dinner, food was amazing and the service too. We had gnudi di zucca, ossobuco and then tiramisù for desert. All great choices!
