Excellent options for celiacs and those concerned about contamination, homemade bread served and also in well-served desserts

We went here to eat prosciutto in San Daniele and had a pleasant experience.
We chose the Classic platter with prosciutto, cheese, and pickles: everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and made with quality ingredients. The prosciutto, obviously the star of the show, was flavorful and well-sliced, accompanied by cheeses and side dishes that complemented the dish well.
The prices were fair, especially considering the quality and location.
The only complaint about the desserts: the gubana needs updating, not up to par with the rest of the experience. Nothing serious, but room for improvement.
Overall, a place we'd happily return to for a good plate of prosciutto, made properly.

A bright, comfortable, and elegant atmosphere awaits you, where you can dine on delicious, superior-quality San Daniele prosciutto that melts in your mouth. Generous portions are served. The appetizer, featuring Friulano, San Daniele, and braided mozzarella, peppers, and Borrettane onions, is excellent. The first courses are also highly recommended, from fettuccine with San Daniele prosciutto and cream to creamed black cabbage or pumpkin soups. The desserts are equally delicious and worth trying, such as the tiramisu served in a large cappuccino cup and the artisanal fior di latte gelato with berries. The separate dining room overlooking the portico offers a friendly, attentive service and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The decor is meticulously maintained and spotlessly clean. Prices aren't cheap, but they're adequate for the quality of the food and the generous portions. A place to return to: recommended for those who want to experience authentic San Daniele prosciutto and the authentic flavors of Friulian cuisine!

My compliments to the entire staff! Thanks to you, my dad and I were able to experience a perfect father-and-son evening. The tagliolini were sublime, as were the mixed antipasto and chocolate cake. All this in a truly peaceful oasis, extremely welcoming, and with incredibly kind staff. Definitely a must-visit for anyone who wants to enjoy the food and wine of San Daniele del Friuli! Highly recommended!

I had dinner with my wife when the restaurant opened.
The food was excellent, although the prices were occasionally inflated and the titles misleading, or in my experience, didn't reflect what was actually served.
We ordered a mixed appetizer for two, which included 2 artichoke quarters in oil, 100g of prosciutto, 2 dried tomatoes in oil, 4 olives, 2 mozzarella braids, a slice of bell pepper cut in half in vinegar, 2 pieces of fresh cheese, and 3/4 pickled onions. We don't think it was worth the €22 price tag. The prosciutto was exceptional, but the appetizer was a mix of anonymous ingredients and those of perceived good quality.
No complaints about the first courses, which were good and reasonably priced. I'd return for those.
I had an unpleasant surprise for dessert. The menu listed artisanal fiordilatte ice cream with a warm berry cream.
I received two small scoops with a topping that looked and tasted industrial, cold, and made of berries (I assume the same as the panna cotta). There was no hint or hint of fruit. This "joke" cost me €7, which I honestly find excessive, both for the quantity and for the fact that a seemingly industrial, cold product was used in a dessert passed off as entirely homemade.
My companion, on the other hand, had a chocolate cake, which, despite the slightly inflated price, more than justified its price. It pleasantly surprised us.
The service was attentive and competent, but with one small oversight that left me perplexed: When I asked for more bread, I was brought a basket much smaller than the first, with cold, stale bread, when the first basket was actually warm, fresh, and plentiful. These are small details, but they send clear messages to discerning customers.
Finally, I'd like to mention that reception was a bit annoyed when they announced we didn't have a reservation. I understand the convenience of making a reservation given the limited space, but the lack of one doesn't justify such dismissive behavior. If this can't be avoided, it's better to change the service and make it reservation-only.
