Osteria Al Mariner In Venezia

We came in quite late after seeing the cozy atmosphere of this restaurant on our evening stroll. We enjoyed our first Venetian sprits here with a delicious tuna covered by pistachio crust. While the tuna was cooked to perfection, the pistachio didn’t really add a lot unfortunately. The decor is very romantic with the red bricks and the black and white pictures. The service is fast and the food is good. Everything is nice and up to standard. Pricing was a bit on the more expensive side but they were transparent about it from the start and you can see everything from the menu outside. The complementary bread with olive oil was nice too. Overall, if you have great budget, want to enjoy good food, good environment, good service, we’d recommend this restaurant. Keep in mind that every dine in restaurants in Venice would charge 2e per person for dining in.

We stumbled upon this place by chance and what a pleasant surprise! It's simple and everything is delicious: the food, the tiramisu (the best we had in Venice), and the wine. A small, friendly restaurant, nice and warm, the portions are generous, and the service is incredibly welcoming. Our best discovery this week!

This restaurant had been highly recommended to me, but unfortunately it was a disappointment. The food was rather bland and, at best, mediocre. The flavors lacked depth and character, especially considering the restaurant's reputation. The only positive note was the wine recommendation, which turned out to be really good. Overall, it didn't meet expectations.

A seafood restaurant in the heart of Canareggio, not too touristy and offering more than good quality. The place isn't large, and on the day we dined, it wasn't crowded. I recommend the octopus salad and the mixed fried fish, both very fresh and well-cooked. I would have preferred a cloth tablecloth to paper placemats, although I understand the eco-friendly approach. Recommended!

This is my second visit to Al Mariner, and coming from Australia that’s saying something. The fish is fresh and the atmosphere is terrific.

I ordered squid ink pasta and a fried seafood platter; the portions were quite large and it was delicious. The waiter was very nice; I recommend it!

A very cozy restaurant away from the tourist crowds. A 20-minute walk from the Rialto Bridge, far from the mass tourism, this restaurant was recommended to us and it was a great find! The pasta was delicious and the dessert… the best tiramisu of my life: flavorful, homemade, creamy, perfect! The price was excellent value for money, even with drinks included. We ordered spaghetti with tuna, which I loved; it was delicious and a bit different from the usual fare. Since it was winter, we ate inside, which was very cozy. I'm sure it's beautiful in the summer. If I return to Venice, I will definitely go back and recommend it to my friends.
