A small restaurant with exceptional customer service, fresh and delicious food, and a wonderful house wine and bread. The best restaurant we ate at during our stay in Trieste, highly recommended for its quality and value. We would definitely return!

Really small but well-organized place. Excellent welcome and good choice of fish. Two starters (gratin scallops and prawns with rocket) followed by good spaghetti allo scoglio. And for dessert, millefeuille with chantilly cream, very good fresh fish. Excellent and friendly service. Good bill considering the good standard.

23/12/2025: Truly unique experience, and just amazing. Food was excellent ( we had pasta with cime di rapa, and two other fantastastic meat dishes, with glass of tasty red wine ) Czech waitress was so nice, thank you for beeing helpful with translating of some dishes and smiles ! Greetings from Brno ! When we will back in Trieste, we will definitely come back. Grazie ! P.S. But : expect very busy, crowded place...But for good food, drink, vibe, you have to wait sometimes...
06/12/2025: I went to Buffet L'Approdo for lunch. It was a fantastic experience: delicious and varied food, a very pleasant (and extremely friendly) atmosphere, and fair prices (I spent €17 for soup, a cordonbleau, and a dessert, which also included water, service charge, and bread). One of the ladies in particular was incredibly kind to my girlfriend and I: she explained the entire menu to us and gave us some excellent recommendations. Highly recommended (maybe make a reservation, as it's often very crowded).
