Osteria Ai Maestri In Trieste

06/12/2025: A place not to be missed, absolutely!! Excellent

20/11/2025: On Saturday, November 15, 2025, a friend and I were looking for a typical Trieste place where we could eat a good hot ham sandwich and some other delicacies, as true Triestine people often do. Luckily, the 5 or 6 places we usually go to were all closed... it was 2:45 PM... I say fortunately because when we arrived at Barriera, we looked at each other and said together, "Let's go there," seeing everything open. We found all the staff professional, friendly, and welcoming, and they seated us with a smile. We immediately ordered 2 ham and eggplant sandwiches, which were amazing, 1 ham and gorgonzola, which was even better, 2 beers, and 300 grams of ham for home, since just the thought of having already finished it made your mouth water, and all at a very fair total price. We used to go to 5 or 6 places for years, now we'll only go to one place... "Salumeria a mano" Go there and you'll hit the mark. Congratulations to everyone Staff...Alessandro and Rea will be back to you very soon.
