Osteria Ai 2 Ladroni In Trieste

I've been to this place (discovered by chance while wandering around Trieste). Very basic place (just the way I like it). The girl who serves at the table is very knowledgeable and friendly. Place where you eat good fish (fresh) and drink well. A very familiar environment where you feel welcomed. I recommend it to anyone who is in or coming to Trieste. If you want a place where you eat good and fair fish and want to spend with good value for money, then take a look. Well done Osteria to the 2 thieves! Paul

Ristorante carinissimo e vicinissimo al centro che offre piatti di pesce tipici della zona. Ci siamo trovati benissimo grazie alla bontà dei piatti e ottima anche l’accoglienza e la gentilezza del personale! Consigliatissimo il pesce nel cartoccio ! Un caro saluto ad Alessandra che è stata gentilissima e soprattutto simpaticissima !

Don't overlook Osteria ai 2 Ladroni (the "two thieves"). We discovered it on an evening walk and asked our hotel's concierge to phone to book it for the next night. He'd never heard of it, though it was about 15 minutes away. Something about the vibe as we walked by suggested it would be fun, authentic, unpretentious and singular, and we were very happy with our intuitions when we returned for dinner. This place is hilarious as well as delicious. If you are game to play along with the playful hosts and chefs (three siblings), you'll be down for a very good time. We started with a mixed antipasto of four crudi, each totally fresh and tasty. Our pastas were very strong: I had paccheri with anchovies and stracciatella. My photo makes it look humble and not all that flavorful but the taste buds do not lie. We had a great white Friuli and did not have room for secondi. Very good dessert, too. The restaurant's vibe was just delightful. There was a table of eight good friends sharing big platters of shellfish and pasta, and a young couple with a newborn, all taken in by the staff with a warm welcome.

Very nice staff met by chance at the supermarket. Excellent quality food. Portions ok. Spent the right amount. Highly recommended.

It is a small place so a reservation is advised but once you are there, you can treat yourself for a very nice pasta with seafood. Personel was very helpful - we made a mistake with our reservation but they quickly fixed it for us.

Hands down, the best fish tavern in Trieste! The chef's imagination is second only to the quality of the raw materials used by the restaurant. First choice and always different menu, with very fresh raw materials. I've been going to this place for years and I've never eaten the same dish twice! Super recommended!!! 😊😊😊
