If I had to compare Ostaietta to a film genre I would say a musical. Not because you sing or play on the tables, but because a visual communication is created between customer, dish and kitchen. Through the punctual staff in this restaurant that will immediately make you feel at home, because there is enthusiasm and professionalism, quality and attention. A lighthouse in Marassi that will illuminate your evenings. Come on!

Friday evening of December 6th, for two, an appetizer of tuna tartare with truffle. The tuna was excellent, the truffle was perhaps just tasteless, a first course of cheese and ricotta ravioli with vegetables and artichokes, I have never eaten such a good first course since applause, a portion of fried fish so abundant that it would have been enough for three, crunchy and not greasy, for dessert two Sicilian cannoli cheese cakes, not to be the bis exaggerate because it could be heavy, a quarter of wine and water, €59, a side dish of scones and plenty of dry focaccia.
Very kind and smiling young staff, welcoming and small space.
Maybe waiting times a little longer.

We had lunch today with our children after a trip to the Genoa aquarium, the owner and staff were very kind and very helpful despite our delay, the dining room was small but very welcoming, few dishes but of very high quality, we had a very good time, a sublime pasta with pesto and a fantastic fried fish!!!! The price? Incredibly amazed, perhaps because we live in the province of Milan where you have to swoon for lunch. I would return every weekend just to have dinner in this place, if I were to return to Genoa it will be a fixed stop!

A more than positive experience, we arrived without a reservation by chance. We were told to return at 1.30pm because the place was full. When we returned we waited another 10 minutes, which is perfectly normal given that you can't throw people out of the restaurant if they haven't yet left the table. The place is small, very nice and welcoming. The owners are very kind and helpful. The food was excellent and plentiful, cooked to perfection. We all had fish dishes, all of high quality. The prices are more than fair with what we spent for 4 second courses of fish, 2 desserts, water, wine and coffee, usually we barely eat 2 pizzas with 2 beers when we're out and about. We will definitely return and highly recommend it to friends.

Everything was excellent and the service was very kind... generous portions, we took an off-menu mushroom, fried Genoese style, re-stitched octopus (delicious), old-fashioned pansoti, dessert (tiramisu), house white wine (good) coffee and bitters 🌹 Everything good at the right price. We will definitely be back.

Booked for 1pm, we arrived well in advance and the lady immediately told us that unfortunately she couldn't seat us immediately. We returned at the correct time and after a very short time we were assigned a table.
The food was of good quality and appreciable taste. We looked around and the dishes of the other diners also seemed inviting. Courteous and timely service. The prices are really competitive and were displayed. At the time of the bill, no surprises. What to add? When we return to Genoa we will definitely stop in Ostaietta.

Typical Genoese place where you can eat very well, welcoming, small and very characteristic. Excellent and generous portions. They appreciate reservations for mother in the dining room and son in the kitchen to eat excellent and genuine delicacies. Absolutely worth trying.
