An absolute insider tip! A dreamy ambiance in the shady, beer garden-like courtyard – you can sit under a large, lush tree and relax. The service was friendly and welcoming, just as you'd expect at an Osmiza.
The snack platter was varied, regional, and truly delicious – and all at a surprisingly reasonable price. The wine was excellent, but the Hugo was a treat.
Many locals were there; as a tourist, you're more likely to stand out – but that's precisely what makes it so appealing. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, and you immediately feel comfortable and welcome. A place to linger and enjoy!

It's been our go-to osmica in springtime for years, as the food plates are superb and wine is refreshing and delicious, while the guests are surrounded by the most typical Carst village buildings and leafy house yard that must have been centuries and centuries old.

On a warm sunny day in May it was wonderful to sit in the shade under the ancient walnut tree and taste the simple and ancient flavors of this osmiza. A splendid courtyard, very well kept, and a young and helpful staff. Excellent platter of local cold cuts and cheeses, delicious panna cotta with amaretto and plum jam. We can't wait to go back!

A superb "Heuriger" (wine tavern) in the heart of the Karst and a small village. Very friendly service, hearty, typical winemaker's snacks, good wine, especially the "Orange" (a very fine and delicious wine), and a nearby magnificent view over the Bay of Trieste all the way to Grado...
