A delightful discovery.
This Sunday morning we decided to spend it in Cattolica, and stopping for lunch was a spur-of-the-moment decision. Among the various restaurants in the area, our intuition led us to "O Capitano Mio Capitano," enticed by the crowds coming in and those already having lunch inside.
We found a table without booking in advance, and they were very happy to seat us.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, with attentive and fast service.
The restaurant is very charming, and being in the port area, it reflects the surrounding style.
EXCELLENT cuisine! Not much to say.
Excellent first and second courses.
The abundance is paramount!
The prices are very fair, and the quality is even better.
WILL DEFINITELY RETURN!

We had the chance to go in August (without a reservation).
A wonderful time, with our favorite dishes... Warm welcome, excellent service, and a romantic atmosphere! The best pasta alle vongole, I recommend it 100%!

Despite our reservation being near the end of our shift, we were greeted courteously, and we didn't feel pressured, despite the lunch lasting past closing time.
We ordered two sea bass with potatoes, cherry tomatoes, and artichokes. The sea bass arrived enormous, promptly cleaned by the staff, but definitely too large for two portions.
Considering that it's sold by weight (according to the menu) and considering its size, I would have appreciated details on the weight and cost before finding it on my plate.
When it came to the bill, there was no indication of the weight of the cooked fish.
For a "quick" lunch, we found ourselves with a bill of €96 for a single dish.
I'll ignore the fact that my companion's down jacket was irreparably ruined while brushing against the pellet stove to sit at the table. I'd recommend leaving some distance between the table and the stove.

I had lunch here today, as I've done regularly for many years, and before it opened, I'd eaten at the owner's father's restaurant. A family dedicated to quality dining. The menu is never boring or predictable. Today I ordered the hot appetizer. It was delicious, and I'd never eaten that combination before. The service was top-notch, competent, and fast, and the food was always flawless. I gave the atmosphere 4 stars because it can sometimes feel a bit cramped, especially in the summer months. Kudos to the whole family.
