Norman In Milano

When I come for lunch here, I always order the ossobuco with Milanese risotto. What can I say? The meat melts in your mouth. The risotto is always tasty and generously portioned. And most importantly, I never get heartburn, like I get when I eat the same dish at other Milanese restaurants. A cuisine that's not heavy and that delights the palate. All this is accompanied by the kindness of the hostess, who makes sure nothing is missing.

Excellent traditional Milanese dishes

We ordered the rebecchini thinking that the mix of anchovy and corn would be interesting, having never tried it before. Well , the filling in the deep fried square tasted of neither anchovy or corn, only like mashed potato without seasoning, it was tasteless and awful and at 13.50, a bit overpriced. The spaghetti alla vongole was on the verge of being raw, not 'al dente' and the clam shells were mostly empty. The Orrechia Elefante was passable but at 24 euros, could have been better. All in all, a bill of 90 euros for a sub standard meal is frankly unacceptable.. but so typical of Milan. we won’t be back to this particular trattoria and I would not recommend it to anyone, there are far superior restaurants for a similar price nearby, namely Osteria Gran Burrone, which never fails to deliver amazing food.

In Milan, my favorite Milanese trattoria by far.

It truly feels like an old Milanese trattoria, with large windows and trams passing by. Excellent Milanese risotto and a generous helping of delicious elephant ear pasta. The glasses of Lombardi di San Colombano wine are also excellent. Excellent value for money. Friendly and attentive service. Located in a residential area, but with beautiful, historic buildings, near the churches of San Pio V and Santa Maria di Calvairate. Recommended for those who want to try traditional Lombard cuisine in a welcoming, family-friendly setting.

I had dinner at Norman's this evening for the first time with a friend. Fantastic atmosphere, delicious food, very friendly staff. The staff were very kind and attentive to us. Highly recommended!

Excellent Milanese cutlet with excellent roast potatoes. Very convenient as a pre-show at the Oscar Theater.

Very nice place, very kind, courteous, and attentive staff. The rice with ossobuco was very good, as was the risotto al salto, and especially the classic cotoletta (truly excellent). The "casseula" (I don't know if that's spelled correctly) was also really tasty, although I appreciated the vegetables more than the ribs, which were a bit tough, but I made up for it with the sausages 😂😂😂 The wine selection was good... two nice glasses of San Colombano (if I remember correctly, from the Lodi area). I highly recommend this place.

Excellent restaurant, friendly and welcoming service, excellent meats and risottos, and the pizza is also superb!
