Meid in Sud In Roma

Just returned to Rome after 2 years of absence, we asked for advice on where to have dinner, well compliments to Sor Perrone who recommended this place to us 🌹.. they recommend Meid In Sud, few words.. immensely top.. congratulations to whoever made me experience a thrilling emotion with the first courses. You could taste the sea in everything. Compliments to Carlotta for the management of the room. If I had a room manager like her in Munich I would be very happy.. that said we will always come back to you, I promise!! Thank you.

New Year's Eve lunch was a success. The eggplant parmigiana and fried baby octopus were delicious, as were the seafood risotto and trofie with clams and shrimp. The place is cute and has easy, free parking. We'll definitely try it again for the pizzas and other dishes.

I really enjoyed it. I haven't eaten so well in a long time. Perfect service.

I went to this restaurant last Saturday evening around 10:15 PM after hearing great things about it, and indeed the pizza was as good as everything else. Unfortunately, as soon as we entered, we asked to sit at an available corner table, but were told it was ready for the next day. The room was occupied by other diners. In the end, we sat where we wanted. We ordered still water, and the person who greeted us was quite surprised that we both only ordered still water. After the delicious appetizer, I was finishing my meal when he literally took my plate and the paper bag of leftover bread away in a flash. He then appeared from the room and asked us for coffee and dessert, somewhat insistently, and we replied that was fine. It was 11:20 PM. After three minutes, while we were talking, he appeared again and asked for the bill. We paid and left. There were still people in the restaurant, and two very polite young men were setting the tables. This seems inappropriate to me. We literally felt kicked out of the place, and it wasn't even midnight. Everything was very good, but the service was terrible. This man shouldn't be in contact with the public. He lacks the basic skills of hospitality, courtesy, and professionalism. I definitely won't be returning, and I don't recommend it. What a shame!

Very nice place. Very clean and welcoming. The food is definitely quality. Good pizza (in Piazza Santa Chiara), fried appetizers too, and the pan-fried arugula with pine nuts was delicious. The service was truly courteous and friendly. The prices were more than fair. The only flaw, and that's just me, is that it's too hot. But then again, I feel hot everywhere, and maybe for others that could be another plus.

Very friendly staff. Very good Neapolitan pizza, shame about the mozzarella, which isn't great. Fried foods and risotto are very good. I recommend it for casual dinners. :)

I ordered seafood pasta — shrimp and clams, everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. I really liked the service — polite, quick, and with a smile. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy, perfect for a relaxing dinner. After the meal, I used the service shown in the attached photo to count the calories — it turned out to be super convenient and fast! I now recommend everyone try it out; tracking your nutrition becomes so much easier and even enjoyable.
