In a region that has great food everywhere, Maria Tindara’s restaurant, perched up on the mesa and away from the hassle and bustle of the port, was a great find. Three generations of hosts have welcomed travelers for decades. The food is excellent — a mix of fresh local produce and delicious culinary tradition. Good wine list. Attentive service, a beautiful outdoor area overlooking a lush garden lush. A treat to be repeated. They run a shuttle service to/from the port, if you arrange in advance. Reservations are recommended if you are visiting off season.

Very little accessibility for celiac disease, elaborate dishes but poor in content, inattentive staff.
Positive sides: the dessert was very good although small and the wine was good.
Quite a hefty bill, €100 for two, still hungry on the way out.

An excellent restaurant with an excellent Sicilian wine cellar. Traditional cuisine with great attention to ingredients and flavor combinations. Family run with very friendly and hospitable staff. Not to be missed if you spend at least one night on the island.
Not very close to the port but they have an efficient shuttle service.

Probably the best desserts I've ever tasted. Traditional flavors revisited and transformed into perfection of form but above all of taste. Pleasure of the palate. Compliments to chef Gilberto. The amberjack with gazpacho and the seared albacore are also amazing.

Inaspettata cena in un locale accogliente situato a vulcano Piano. Antipasto eccezionale con formaggi locali di qualità, involtini di Spatola al di sopra delle aspettative, leggeri, ben cotti e morbidi al palato ma il must di questo locale sono i dolci di Gilberto di grande fantasia e eccelsa qualità. La struttura offre un servizio di navetta gratuito con conducente estremamente gentile disponibile e orgoglioso di quello che offre il proprio locale. Tappa consigliata per chi viene a Vulcano.
