While getting lost in the charming, winding streets of Bergamo, we discovered Marechiaro, an unassuming yet delightful Italian restaurant. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our meal. Their passion for seafood was evident in their detailed explanations of each dish and recommendations. The menu, though not extensive, was thoughtfully curated to showcase the freshest seafood. We began with an antipasto di mare. Each bite was a delightful introduction to the restaurant's focus on high-quality, fresh ingredients. The unique flavors and textures were a testament to the chef's skill and creativity. Marechiaro is a must-visit for seafood lovers in Bergamo. The service is ok, the risotto with mushrooms is extraordinary, the one with seafood is a bit bland.

Piacevole sorpresa : in vacanza a Bergamo stavamo cercando un ristorante nelle vicinanze del b b. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo, servizio veloce e personale gentile e attento. Buonissima la tagliata e ringraziamo il personale per avere preparato velocissimi la cotoletta per la bambina.

This is a VERY good restaurant. Their pizzas are exemplary, as was the "Italian antipesto" that a friend [shown] and I enjoyed, as was the whitebait ("alici fritte") that I had separately at another time. The prices are reasonable. But -- best of all is the open, happy, accepting attitude of the padrone and of his staff, who made me feel wonderfully welcome, laughed at me and teased me in the nicest possible way (poverino ! strangiero ! Oh, what bad Italian, but at least you're trying ! ), and made of three meals (two dinners, one lunch) three banquets.
