Best restaurant in the area! The staff were always friendly, and we always felt welcome. The food was always delicious, albeit not the cheapest. Even for me, a vegetarian, there were several dishes to choose from.

Dear Ron and the entire Makanan staff, I wanted to compliment your mussels in tomato sauce. They were simply perfect! The mussels were incredibly fresh, tender, and flavorful, and the sauce was rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced between the sweetness and acidity of the tomato. You could taste the top-quality ingredients. The dish arrived piping hot and fragrant, and the accompanying bread was perfect, ensuring not a drop of sauce remained on the plate. It was undoubtedly the highlight of our evening. We'll be back soon for this alone! Thank you for such a delightful dining experience.

On the last day of our stay in Sicily, we stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. We'd been living off pizza so far and wanted to try something different. We were greeted warmly by a waitress and shown to a beautifully arranged table. The same waitress then literally presented us with the "catch of the day" – sea bream – and explained the corresponding dish. Seconds after we ordered our drinks, they were served, and the food didn't take long to arrive. About the food: There were two of us and we ate extremely well for less than €25 per person (1 appetizer, 2 main courses, 1 large water). As a free side dish, we were served four small sesame rolls and (presumably) homemade wheat sticks. The dishes were all delicious and fresh – just as you'd imagine food in Sicily to be at home. The waitress was very personable and friendly, and we always felt like welcome guests. If we ever come back to Sicily and to the same place nearby, we will definitely stop by again.

EDIT: This is the second year in a row we've been in the area for vacation, and we've come to this restaurant two nights in a row. I can confirm what I wrote below: everything was excellent: from the service, to the wait staff, to the quality of the food! I recommend it again :) During our vacation, we ate here two nights, and it was truly top-notch! I highly recommend the swordfish caponata, which is out of this world, the parmigiana pizza, which is also delicious, and the Mediterranean fried fish is also excellent. The service is excellent; the people who served us were extremely kind and friendly! One waitress was also really super nice to my dog, Sole, from bringing us fresh water (without us asking, so be careful) to saying goodbye at the end. 😂 They also have outdoor seating, and the location is really cute. Highly recommended ☺️

Di ritorno dal mare chiediamo se ci fossero posti e nonostante il locale pieno e non prenotati dopo qualche minuto ci fanno accomodare ,dopo l’ordinazione neanche 5 minuti portano da mangiare ai bambini e a seguire noi grandi .Abbiamo preso pasta con le sarde ,risotto ai frutti di mare ,frittura mediterranea ,tagliata di vitello e dolci tutto buonissimo e cotto alla perfezione.Prezzo onesto e bagni puliti .Super consigliato
