Capitate per caso dopo una visita al quartiere delle ceramiche, avremmo voluto tornare anche i giorni successivi se non fossimo state troppo lontane. Da subito abbiamo percepito passione, orgoglio e proattività. Accoglienza ottima, servizio attento e premuroso, piatti con ingredienti locali di qualità, connubio perfetto tra tradizione e innovazione senza stravolgere troppo i sapori per voler creare quell' effetto che diventa poi spesso eccessivo e artefatto. Io in quello che ho mangiato ci ho sentito la terra, la passione e la voglia di stupire con garbo. Una nuova gestione giovane, attenta ai sapori del passato con uno sguardo al presente. Bravi!

We found it by chance while visiting the historic center of Grottaglie, and it was a great surprise. We had a seafood-based meal: fried fish, warm seafood salad, a mussels with pepper, and meatballs in tomato sauce for our youngest. Everything was excellent, a 10 for the salad, but the other dishes were also top-notch. You can taste the fresh, quality ingredients. The welcome, with a burrata and sun-dried tomato focaccia and a taste of extra virgin olive oil, was much appreciated. Definitely a place I'll return to; I hope they never change.

We had the pleasure of dining at Macchiaviva Bistrot (under the new management of Chef Luigi) shortly after its opening, and I must say the experience was simply exceptional. I was looking for a place that celebrated Italian Mediterranean cuisine, and my expectations were far exceeded, especially regarding the seafood. From the first moment, the atmosphere was welcoming and refined, with a touch of elegance that hinted at the quality of the food. But it was the main course that really stood out: we chose seafood dishes (cod tempura, peppered mussels, and grilled octopus), and the freshness of the ingredients was unmistakable. Every bite was a triumph of authentic flavors, enhanced by expert preparation that fully respected the raw ingredients. The attention to quality and passion for offering the true flavors of the Mediterranean were clearly evident. The service was attentive and courteous, helping to make the evening even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this new gem to all foodies, especially those who appreciate fresh seafood and traditional Italian cuisine. I can't wait to return to explore their menu further!

The chef, in addition to being a true talent in the kitchen, is extremely friendly and helpful, always eager to enthusiastically share the story behind each dish. The wait staff is also friendly and attentive, making every diner feel welcome and at ease, right at home. A young yet already established restaurant, absolutely worth a visit... and certainly many repeat visits.

We discovered Macchiaviva during a trip to Grottaglie and were really impressed. There were four of us and we had lunch choosing a first course each, accompanied by a fried fish to share and, to conclude, two homemade desserts. Everything lived up to expectations, but the mussels, very fresh and tasty, and the artisanal desserts, which show the passion and care with which they are prepared, deserve a special mention. The dining room staff and the owner family welcomed us with great kindness, demonstrating rare attention not only towards us, but also towards our dog, who was pampered like an honored customer. We will definitely be back!

We tasted some appetizers, two first courses and a dessert and it was all very good. But what struck us above all was the kindness and helpfulness of the staff who adapted the dishes, preparing them all gluten-free. Recommended if you are looking for a typical trattoria!
