September 2025, dining experience. Food yes, service okay.. atmosphere.. old school and it was good... hygiene.. well, that will be questionable. I get giving bread in Italy before meal is the norm and perhaps unfinished bread ends up in the same bucket in the kitchen and gets reuse.. maybe not. When you see bare hands going into a drawer to fish out the bread and unused/unfinished bread goes back in.. I can confirm this restaurant does reuse it. Putting that aside, this is old school style home cook meal ready to serve the local. Strong flavours in a traditional sense where all the herbs and spices you would expect to use for home cooking from your garden. Owner aka grumpy grandpa stood guard at the door assessing everyone coming in before letting them in to their table or send them away if you don't have a booking. Is not a huge place but big enough to fit a decent amount of maybe 50 or so guests I think. It was quite fun seeing non pretentious restaurant just out to serve traditional food and not care about looking good.. We enjoy the meal thoroughly and I would recommend it.. besides the bread... hahaha...
