A small place, not very visible from the outside, which I feel makes it less touristy and more authentic. If you're looking for a local bakery that isn't a tourist trap, this is it. The marittozi are amazing and huge! The brioche is sweet, orange-flavored, and has a wonderful texture, while the cream is fresh and plentiful.

The Maritozzaro was lovely. Fresh and light. The Nutella croissant however killed me off. Heavy and sickening. The staff and regular clientele there seemed really annoyed at us for eating there. They hovered over our table shouting loudly until we felt the need to leave.

A small place outside the city center that preserves the true Roman maritozzo tradition! The desserts here are simply sublime. The place is immaculately clean, and the delicious aroma of freshly baked delicacies fills the air. What struck me most, however, was the kindness of the staff: I had called days before to arrange my return trip, and one guy was exceptional, arranging the maritozzi perfectly and even providing me with ice for transportation. Such a warm welcome and quality are unforgettable. This will definitely be my go-to place every time I return to Rome!
