AWSOME OSTERIA 1997 JUST UNIQUE
A fabulous restaurant, a place that, in this dehumanized age, I would never have believed could exist,
on the phone Francesco recognized me 'I'll come around half past 9' 'don't worry' ... the others say 'no you have to tell me the exact time' at 31 they give the table away, because now it works in shifts, at now we have to leave the table because there are others, where the customer is worth nothing, the sum of the customers is worth;
when I entered there was a smiling Edo who hugged me 'it's been a long time since you came', Francesco broke away from the people he was with and gave me his hand, and then, smiling, there was her... Agata, what a joy to see her again, what a joy to embrace her;
Edo had reserved a beautiful table for me, in the opposite room, a large table where we were at ease, where we felt like we were friends, guests;
Agata came to us immediately, smiling, kind, cheerful, and we ordered;
Edo arrived for the wine and immediately contextualized and empathized with the situation, 'bubbles??', a complex local prosecco that I can't say except that a few moments later I was in seventh heaven;
Agata served us as an entreé a pumpkin cream in a cup with exquisite croutons and then ricotta tortelli with special butter and fried courgettes, cooked to perfection, creamy, very tasty, and then a super sirloin tender as butter; a mascarpone with passito to finish off in style;
Agata always came to ask if everything was okay, and she was so sweet, smiling, kind that, my word, I have never seen a waiter like that in my life, but she is a future doctor, a classy person, I observed her in face with very sweet features, at a certain point I couldn't help myself and told her 'you're enchanting';
high-class osteria, no restaurant has superior cuisine in Ferrara and I would almost say elsewhere; Those who write that it is traditional cuisine are wrong, this is very modern, creative cuisine, which has some dishes rooted in tradition but always rethought in a creative way;
Edo also came back to ask how it was going and always has a good line of Ferrarese humour,
it was almost midnight when I went to pay the bill, Francesco showed me his father's medical notebooks and I asked him for some Agata, and I was ashamed at the thought of having been a lazy student, out of class and not of medicine, of law, 'a law degree is like a glass of water, you can't deny it to anyone';
the bill was from friends, there is a lot of talk about price/quality but no other restaurant guarantees it like here, where the customer is not a lemon to squeeze;
when we got up and said goodbye to Francesco and Edo, but Agata was no longer there, I asked 'and Agata... where is she?' she had already gone home to study for sure, maybe it was better, I'll see her again...
Edo and Agata are not the waiters, they are two beautiful people who take care of the guests, no not with cuddles, you get those in a massage centre,
and the tavern is a fantastic and unique place, where everything is beautiful, where they are friendly, where it is impossible to go out without feeling well and also the other customers entertained themselves with Francesco, Edo and Agata and it was like being at a party, among people that is known, and, the whole essence of the Osteria, at least for me, is in that evening, when we entered and Agata, who had been at the tavern for a few days, smiled at us immediately, as if she knew us, with a smile unspeakably wonderful, saying a 'hello' _ to me who is from '58 _ which, put as you said it, I have never heard it, nor will I hear it more.❤️💘💌💖💗💓💞💕💟❣️❤️🔥❤️🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵💜

The barrel-vaulted cellar of an ancient building in the historic center has housed this welcoming restaurant for decades. Smiling and friendly staff, decidedly nice host. The dishes range from traditional, sometimes revisited, to some seafood dishes. Everything well taken care of. Highly recommended!

I returned last night 11/30/2024 after many years to this restaurant in the center of Ferrara. The new management has made several changes: the service is superb, Paolo manages the room impeccably with experience and friendliness, the guys who serve the tables are all nice, smiling and competent. The place has always been very nice and now even better looked after. The food was excellent, plentiful and tasty with various traditional dishes. Fair account.

A fantastic dinner, an experience!!
I brought a group of Norwegian architects to the Osteria.
The location in the center of Ferrara is very beautiful and welcoming, the staff is super friendly and professional.
Coming from a lunch that lasted until 6pm we only had appetizers and first courses.
We were 18 people and we decided to share the pizzini with platters of excellent cured meats and the aubergine parmigiana. Everything was delicious, special praise for the parmigiana, it was SPACE!!!!!!!!!!!
We continued with a nice trio of first courses: tagliatelle with mushrooms, pumpkin cappellacci with ragù and tortelloni with ricotta and spinach sautéed with courgettes.
Despite the endless lunch and the fact that Norwegians are not used to eating pasta, it is enough for me to say that they cleaned the plates.
Everything was delicious, special praise for the pumpkin cappellacci with ragù AMAZING!!!!!
I will definitely go back with my wife, but from today every time I have a group in Ferrara it will be my fixed point!!

Scoperto per caso ma una scoperta molto molto piacevole. Dalla gentilezza dei camerieri, al cibo delizioso con porzioni abbondanti e una location molto carina. Consiglio vivamente a tutti. Noi torneremo sicuramente.

Stasera è la terza volta che vengo all'osteria sono sempre stato felice e stasera è stata per me veramente una bellissima serata, dovevo venirci assieme a un'altra personcina poi sono venuto solo così ho potuto gustare tutta l'atmosfera di questo bellissimo locale e tutta la qualità della cucina, meglio davvero soli che male accompagnati e subito l'osteria m'ha fatto superare il cruccio del litigio,
è profondamente errato descrivere l'osteria come un posto che si può apprezzare solo facendo riferimento alla storia di ferrara o dicendo che c'è un clima familiare, è un locale amichevole come non ne ricordo altri ma non ha alcunché della trattoria familiare casereccia è un ristorante modernissimo anche se ricavato da una cantina, il fatto che vi siano specialità ferraresi non vuol affatto dire che sia un locale limitato nella cucina, è un posto come può esservi a roma, milano, firenze,
c'è una recensione che m'infastidisce non riesco a trattenermi uno che dice che non dà cinque stelle (come se dipendesse da lui) perchè le riserva per i locali più esclusivi cantarelli a busseto fu uno dei primi ristoranti a due stelle michelin ed era anch'esso un osteria anche la michelin non valuta l'esclusività di un locale per assegnare l'eccellenza: un ristorante è eccellente per la sua cucina non per l'esclusività del posto che può dipendere dal lusso del locale dai prezzi tenuti elevati apposta per escludere clienti non disposti a scialaquare quattrini: si valuta la sostanza, è un errore capitale confondere la scenografia di un ristorante con la sua eccellenza, il lusso non determina il valore di un ristorante.
stasera fuori menu c'erano gli spaghetti allo scoglio (vedi foto) as-so-lu-ta-men-te eccezionali, sono nato a genova dove ho vissuto tanti anni conosco città di mare come ancona, bari, napoli, reggio calabria, ma spaghetti così prima d'ora non li ho mai mangiati, erano cotti innanzitutto perfettamente al dente, erano 'bianchi' con pomodorini freschi e c'erano vongole cozze gamberi scampi cappesante e altrom che non ricordo, ho aspettato venti minuti e se ne valeva la pena!, erano bollenti squisiti!! il tempo che si aspetta dipende dal lavoro ch'è stato necessario per realizzarlo; l'ho accompagnato con un calice di franciacorta meraviglioso che m'ha consigliato Edoardo e son bastati pochi istanti per sentirmi bene e com'ero contento di essere solo!!!
ho poi preso un vitello tonnato delicatissimo con delle patate fritte tagliate sottili e arricciate come le chips, bollenti e squisite, e ho finito con una ciambella delicata e morbidissima,
i due 'osti' che servono sono gentilissimi e io ed Edoardo siamo amici ormai, l'altra volta per sbaglio mi sono rivolto a un signore credendolo il proprietario e lui non mi ha risposto seccato ma mi ha sorriso abbiamo scambiato qualche battuta, un locale di amici dicevo;
ho provato anche i cappellacci gustosissimi, il filetto tutto di alta classe,
il prezzo? di una amicizia unica, e quindi prezzo qualità al massimo livello possibile;
conclusione: visita bellissima.
