Friendly and attentive service, great customer service (even excellent with foreigners, as they all speak excellent English).
The original menu features a wonderful combination of traditional dishes and innovative offerings: the tortellone alla Nerano (the fried zucchini was exactly what I enjoyed when I visited Nerano as a child) and the strigoli with anchovies, butter, and lemon are both fantastic. The fried anchovies are delicious, tasty and dry, a sign of impeccable frying. The zuppa inglese is excellent (just like grandma's). Last but not least, the wine list: a nice selection with a wide selection by the glass.

Enjoyed the delicious food, the warm atmosphere and the hospitable staff.
Menu has a nice mix of regional classics and seasonal dishes. A strong wine list with a variety of wines from Italy and some French.
A very pleasant dining experience with something to remember for everyone in the family.

Typical atmosphere of the historic center but particular with vaulted ceilings with nice and elegant rooms for private dinners and for tables in company very cool for hot days ... very polite staff, excellent food and good wine! Fair prices I'll be back!

We went for dinner here as a recommendation from the hotel di Prati. We wanted to eat authentic food. Well we got it.
The starter with asparagus as a sort of a solid cream with some sauce around it. It was already something I had never had before, but the crumble salami sausage was really not to our liking. It was very salty and heavy with a strange texture.
The other two dishes were okay, the guine fowl and the starter with the aubergine.
The red wine was okay, the bottle of frizzante water very affordable.
All in all they tried but we ordered the wrong things or maybe we just went to the wrong restaurant for our liking.
They were friendly but also a bit lost in the service once and awhile.

Great discovery indeed. Nice and characteristic place, a stone's throw from the main square. Must try the cold cuts platter with pinzini, the homemade Cappellacci (with pumpkin but not only) and then for dessert the tenerina cake with the accompanying cream.

Incredible find in the center of Ferrara. Paolo and his whole team make L'Osteria a very special place. Well-prepared dishes, splendid wines and above all, attentive and friendly service. When ordering, don't look at the menu, let them guide you.....

Già dalla chiamata per prenotare avevo notato dei modi garbati e accoglienti.
L’accoglienza all’arrivo si è dimostrata l’esatta conferma di quello che mi aspettavo.
Un’attenzione particolare quella dei camerieri, una gentilezza ed una cura incredibile.
Il cibo meraviglioso, ingredienti di ottima qualità che davano vita ai piatti della tradizione ferrarese.

Posto caratteristico con salette confortevoli in una sorta di lussuosa cantina antica con arcate. I piatti tipici della cucina ferrarese rivisitati in modo originale dal giovane chef sono una prelibatezza. C’è una grandissima scelta di vini e Paolo è un grande intenditore in grado di stupire, con le sue spiegazioni, chi crede di saperne già abbastanza. Il personale è gentilissimo e il titolare è sempre attento che ai suoi ospiti non manchi nulla. Da consigliare vivamente!
