L'Orologio In Verona

Long day, tired feet, one perfect plate, exactly what I needed. Landed in Verona after back-to-back meetings, laptop bag still on my shoulder, running on caffeine and willpower. The hotel recommended Lo Orologio and honestly it was the best decision of the whole trip. No wine tonight — early call tomorrow — just me, a quiet corner table, and the veal fillet with artichoke. Worth every minute of the walk. The fillet was tender and beautifully cooked, with that kind of understated elegance that doesn’t demand your attention — it just has it. The artichoke alongside was earthy and perfectly balanced, cutting through the richness in exactly the right way. Clean, honest, brilliant cooking. After a day like mine, you need a meal that slows you down and reminds you that not everything has to be rushed. Lo Orologio did exactly that. The staff were warm without being fussy, the atmosphere cozy enough to decompress, and the food did all the talking. Sometimes you don’t need the wine and the full experience. Fantastic food in a very nice atmosphere.

One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in a very long time. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a warm and welcoming staff, which, throughout the evening, ensured a highly pleasant experience. The restaurant had plenty of waiters, ensuring that all our needs were covered at any time. I went for the fillet steak with the Amarone sauce. This was very possibly the best steak dinner I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The fillet was super tender and perfectly cooked, with the sauce being the true star of the show, creating a really tasteful and unique meal. In addition I also had a bruschetta for starters and apple crumbs with gelato for dessert. Both of these were also better than most dishes I’ve eaten before, with both the bruschetta bread and the apple crumbs still being hot when served, straight out of the oven. The prices were not bad at all either, especially considering the quality of the food and the service given. The main course cost 26 Euros, which is less than I would’ve anticipated based on the quality of the meal. I can highly recommend this place, and I truly mean that this place delivers way better than the average of ratings indicate on this app. I’m looking forward to returning for a new pleasant experience.

We tried the tortellini and horse meat pastisada, washed down with Valpolicella and followed by a house tiramisu. Fast service.

A classic Verna restaurant with good food. We ate well and didn't have to wait long. Recommended.

The food is very good, typical of the Veneto region. A breath of fresh air amidst the vast number of tourist-trap restaurants in Verona's historic center. I recommend ordering a dish with Amarone (if you don't want to drink the wine itself), or the polenta, as they are traditional to the region.

Very good food and super kind and polite staff

We had dinner at this restaurant last night, starting with a risotto with soppressata, Vicenza-style cod, and Venetian-style liver. Everything was excellent.

A very nice place, spread over two floors. The entrance level is very small and awkward if, like me, you're near the door. Overall, however, it's manageable. Good food, risotto with Amarone and pumpkin, top notch! The pork was a little too tasty. The tiramisu definitely needs revisiting! It was probably from a day or two ago, made with cream mixed with mascarpone, and the ladyfingers were too soft. What a shame!
