LoCandia In Massa

A stroll through the vineyards before immersing yourself in a fantastic atmosphere. Excellent service, good wines, and excellent first courses. Thanks to the owner, who passionately explained his creation to us. A refreshing and positive experience on a hot and muggy July evening. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is surrounded by the vineyards of the Candia hills, between the towns of Massa and Carrara, with the splendid backdrop of the Apuan Alps acting as a natural amphitheater for this enchanting landscape. The restaurant is simple but well-maintained, and the service is very friendly. For the food, we opted for a charcuterie board accompanied by panzanella as an appetizer, squid ink ravioli as a first course, and fried calamari as a second course. The quality was very good, and even the fried calamari was delicate. For dessert, I highly recommend the delicious rice cake and their Terra e Maris white wine. Absolutely fair prices! I recommend booking! It was a great discovery for us, and we'll definitely be back!

Excellent location. Producers of fine local wines. Authentic, carefully prepared food and excellent service. Lastly, the company's founder, a man of great wisdom...a pleasant chat after the meal.

We visited this beautiful place for dinner. The location is a bit out of the way…because it’s in the middle of a vineyard, it was a surprise when we arrived and realized its beauty. iThe food was absolutely amazing and everything was made in house, even the wine..and our waiter, Nicolo was so nice and witty and knowledgeable about what they offered. He made our experience even better. I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant for your next dinner.

I chose this place for an anniversary. The staff were kind and attentive, and the food and atmosphere were excellent. I can't remember having such good fish tortelli in recent years. Good wine; I tried the Arabesco; it's a classic table wine, with notes from the Syrah grapes providing a tartness that contrasts beautifully with the other selected grapes. We'll definitely be back.

Locandia is a restaurant nestled in the green hills of Massa. The cuisine is typical of the area. Tordelli al ragù (tordelli with ragù) are a specialty, faithful to the tradition of this traditional local dish.
