Very good food and service, especially pumpkin tortellini were great.

The immediate proximity to the Vittoriale could be exploited to attract customers, but in this case, it's not necessary because it's truly an exceptional place with no need for frills. The food is excellent and the price is fair; I had the bigoli with tench and the trout with potatoes, which had a special flavor (you could tell they were the result of the chef's passion). The dishes were flavorful, not salty. The photos don't reflect the portions because they were taken of plates already beset by hunger. Top notch. Truly home-cooked food. The white wine was decanted, good, and didn't go to your head. We were served by a very polite, helpful, and smiling young woman, not at all awkward. She's very young, but she has a passion and professionalism that a "veteran" would envy.

Spit and polenta, excellent as are the desserts.

Everything was very pleasant. From the food to the service, from the atmosphere to the friendliness of the staff. We'll definitely return. One small complaint...a little heating would be appreciated (personal opinion).

The food was excellent, as was the service. They even took great care of our little dog, offering him a delicious meal. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area. Happy New Year!
