Excellent restaurant, with carefully prepared and flavorful dishes. The tartare is impeccable, and the tagliolini with ragù are truly excellent. Pleasant atmosphere and attentive service: highly recommended!

We just enjoyed an amazing (Thanksgiving night) meal in the lovely city of Stresa, Italy. Just a few minutes walk from our room, we found Ristorante Lo Stornello, the perfect choice. We started with 1. Piedmontese beef tartare with hazelnut cream and local cheese fondue 2. Potato gnocchi scented with porcini mushrooms, veal reduction, pumpkin, mountain pine powder and Vigezzo Valley pancetta 3. Veal loin cooked at low temperature and sautéed in aromatic butter, lard-based condiment with parsley, smoked potatoes gratinated with Bettelmatt cheese 4. Semifreddo forest bianca with white chocolate, fresh currants, raspberries, blackberries and gooseberries 5. Very good food, attentive, courteous, and efficient service. They even flipped over the counter to find the licorice liqueur I'd requested, when they could have simply told me they'd run out, since it was also on the house. The prices are definitely average for the quality of the food and the restaurant's location. If I were to return to Stresa, I'd definitely go back!

The menu propose meat, fish and vegetarian dishes and a wide selection of local wines. Friendly and professional service, nice and confortable ambient complete the picture of a good moment having dinner. I missed only a salad.

A truly wonderful experience. I booked for dinner with friends. We were greeted warmly by the very friendly staff. The food was excellent, well-cooked, and the presentation was meticulously crafted. Highly recommended. The price is average. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent service and very good dishes!! We ordered octopus, tartar, and the cold cuts platter as starters. Then we ordered pasta and fish. We were a group of 31 Colombians, and they went above and beyond to satisfy our every need. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend it. The place is also super nice. The bathrooms are spotless. I would definitely go back.

Excellent traditional cuisine, revisited. The risotto Acquerello, cooked with pumpkin, goat cheese, and dark chocolate, is unforgettable! The wine list is very good.
