I stopped in Stresa for work and chose Stornello because I read they also have vegan options. Since it's not an exclusively vegan restaurant, my expectations weren't very high. But I was wrong... their vegan dishes are nothing short of spectacular!! Starters, main courses (even the seitan goulash), and dessert! I'll be back, even if I have to travel all the way from Verona.

A small restaurant in the center of Stresa, just steps from the lakeside promenade. The interior is pleasant, though a small point: the tables in the second room, adjacent to the kitchen, aren't very spaced apart. Our table was next to the kitchen door, which wasn't ideal for privacy. That said, going into more detail, the staff are a plus: everyone was extremely kind and courteous, and the service was attentive and precise. We enjoyed our meal, especially the chestnut and pumpkin gnocchi. The menu offers excellent variety, with good vegetarian options. A good wine cellar with options by the glass. Finally, the quality/price ratio is average, and the ingredients are of good quality. Overall, I'd highly recommend it.

We were passing by to visit the lake and stumbled upon this restaurant completely by chance.
It was truly a wonderful surprise!
Delicious dishes, with interesting and sophisticated twists for those who want to venture a little further (the carpaccio was spectacular) but without going overboard.
Excellent portions, you definitely won't leave hungry!
The staff was truly exquisite, very attentive. It's a shame we don't live in the area; we would definitely have become regulars.
The prices are average, but the quality of what we ate makes them worth it.

If you're passing through Stresa, stop by.
The staff were wonderful, polite, and attentive.
We were satisfied with the food, especially the risotto, which was truly superb. The desserts, however, were less so.
