I went there for my anniversary with my partner. The place was elegant and the service excellent. The food was also good (I suggest asking for a description of the dish before ordering).

We spent an evening in an intimate setting in the ancient dining room, where I enjoyed roasted octopus as an appetizer, spaghetti with a seafood reduction as a main course, and we finished the meal with a small lychee jelly. I recommend a Nebbiolo rosé as a wine.
I'll end with a note: constant attention to the customer isn't always appreciated; in some cases, it breaks the atmosphere between diners, especially when you're a couple.

Not worth the price.
Atmosphere was great and the employees were great, but this is one of those "theres foam on your food so thats why you're paying €22 for six tortellos". If money is not an issue for you, then you will feel fully satisfied for only €100.
If money is an issue for you, there are other restaurants just down the street where you get the same excellent service with actually historically accurate roman cuisine for half the price. Here you only get food "inspired by history".
