I love this place. Although a little out of the way for us, it is worth the trip. A place with a wonderful and discreet welcome. The dishes speak for themselves. I tried both the trout menu (exceptional) and the gourmet and gourmand menu (a real experience). Carefully selected wine list. Also noteworthy is the use of seasonal and local ingredients. Go there!!! Highly recommended

La prima impressione della Lanterna non è l’eleganza, l’informalità, il calore domestico. La prima impressione è Famiglia. Da tre generazioni, la famiglia Tonola si impegna per esaltare i prodotti del territorio, rendendoli unici. È forse questa la forza di un rifugio avvolto dalla notte, dove il giardino pensile in veranda e la grande sala interna sono due stagioni dai colori simili. Quattro diversi menù, dove non manca mai la trota, allevata in casa. Un attento sguardo all’ecosostenibilità ed un sorriso mai banale. Si respira la valle, in tutta la sua genuina semplicità. Una stella Michelin che vale quasi trent’anni, e non richiede una sola visita ma molte di più. Presto, possibilmente.

12/03/2024: The Val Codera farmhouse is family-run....a magical place surrounded by greenery where peace and relaxation are guaranteed. The room where we stayed was spacious, welcoming and clean. The food is truly exceptional, the homemade appetizer with local cured meats and homemade vegetables...the first courses are unbeatable, the pizzoccheri and the gnocchi will captivate you with how good they are...to continue braised meat with polenta and ribs with potatoes ends with coffee made with mocha and homemade sweets. The service is excellent, the staff takes care to make guests feel at home, the owners are really friendly and helpful people, it has now become our favorite place to eat well and escape from the chaos of the city. They also produce excellent honey if you are a honey lover don't hesitate to buy theirs.
