Exceptional fine dining. The "Persistence of Memory" tasting menu was creative, precise and full of surprises — the acorn-and-coffee spaghetti and the reinvented tiramisu were absolute standouts. Inspired wine pairing, faultless service, beautiful setting. One of the best meals I've had, will return. Special thanks to Carlo for making the evening truly enjoing.

The view is absolutely incredible and, honestly, it’s the main reason I would recommend eating at La Terrazza. Unfortunately, almost everything else about the experience was underwhelming, especially given the extremely high price. The food was good, but that’s about as far as I would go. Nothing was bad, but nothing was particularly memorable or special either. At this price point and for a Michelin-starred restaurant, I expected to be blown away, and we simply weren’t. We had much better food elsewhere in Italy for a fraction of the price. The atmosphere also didn’t work for us. It was extremely formal and stuffy to the point that it made the meal less enjoyable. We have no problem with formal dining—in the right setting it can make a meal feel even more special—but here it just contributed to a strange, uncomfortable vibe. That said, the view over Rome really is spectacular and absolutely lives up to the hype. I’m glad we experienced it once for that reason alone. Go for the view, but I wouldn’t go expecting the food or overall experience to justify the price.

We celebrated my partner's 30th birthday and had a fabulous time. The view from the terrace is stunning, the waiters are adorable, especially the one who looked after us (I think Emanuele). It was our first Michelin-starred restaurant in Italy, and we were thrilled to have this experience at this incredible place. We recommend it to everyone.

First, the positive: the view from La Terrazza can not be beat and should not be diminished. We were positioned with a view of Vatican City and were able to enjoy the sunset over the western part of the city, incredible! La Terrazza’s wine menu is also very expansive, with bottles ranging in price and spanning Italy’s vast wine regions, as well as several imported options. The food was all very well prepared and timed. The bread was fresh, and paired with a wonderful olive oil. The amuse bouche served as a great introduction into the flavors of the evening, especially the pea purée tart. The following first and second courses of our tasting experience were smaller in nature, but still very tasty. Depending on your dessert choice, you may or may not get a nice table-side presentation, which we found to be disappointing as we did not have the right dessert for the experience. The critical: at an experience like this, I look forward to the story of the dishes, especially given the restaurant boasting the usage of local ingredients and its intention to create a journey for the guest. Unfortunately, we did not receive any information about our dishes, or their significance, outside of the ingredients used. At one point, I asked why a certain ingredient was chosen for the plate, and was told it’s because it is grown in Italy… not necessarily the response I was hoping for. Overall, a very enjoyable experience!

Okay, let's be clear: we Romans are hard to impress, especially when it comes to panoramic restaurants. Often, up there, they sell you the view and leave you hungry, or worse, serve you soulless dishes made just for tourists. But La Terrazza dell'Hotel Eden is another story. This is our Rome, the elegant yet unassuming one, where the cuisine goes hand in hand with one of the most beautiful views in the world. As soon as you reach the sixth floor, your heart opens. It's not just a view, it's a blow to the chest: you see the soaring Dome, the rooftops of Campo Marzio, the Vittoriano, and basically, you have the entire Eternal City at your feet. The atmosphere is incredible, meticulously crafted but without that stuffiness that makes you feel out of place, supported by impeccable, welcoming service with that Roman grace that makes you feel instantly at home. But let's get to the point, because you come here above all for the chef's skill, who knows exactly how to bring tradition into the language of modernity through a menu that's a mind-blowing journey. This isn't the usual posh cuisine where you have no idea what you're eating; here, every flavor is clear, powerful, and Roman in spirit, while maintaining a highly refined technique. Take, for example, the legendary spaghetti with cacio e pepe, rosebuds, and black sesame. For us, cacio e pepe is sacred, and woe betide anyone who touches it, yet here, magic happens, because the delicate aroma of the rose breaks the boldness of the pecorino and pepper in a way you'd never expect, while the black sesame adds that toasted, crunchy note that makes you say, "Wow, what a masterpiece." The same genius is found in the crispy zucchini flower, another monument of our cuisine, reinterpreted with disarming lightness, thanks to a batter that's like a cloud without a trace of grease and a filling that explodes with traditional flavors. Not to mention the lamb, or abbacchio as we call it, which is cooked divinely, so tender it can be cut with a fork, and enhances that wild, authentic flavor of the Roman countryside we always seek. To top it off, the desserts are works of art that aren't heavy but leave the palate fresh and satisfied. Is it expensive? Yes, there's no point in hiding it; the bill is worthy of a special occasion. But here you're not just paying for the food or the star on your jacket, you're paying for a true emotion. There are places that fill your belly and places that fill your soul, and La Terrazza does both. For a Roman who wants to rediscover their city from above, or to impress someone special, this is the ultimate place. A perfect score with an academic kiss. Come back even if you have nothing to celebrate, just for the pleasure of saying "how beautiful Rome is."

A wonderful experience, primarily driven by an absolutely incredible view of Rome. The setting obviously contributes greatly to the enjoyment of the moment, and the service is impeccable, befitting the establishment. The food is generally very good, although some dishes seemed slightly weaker than others. For a Michelin-starred restaurant, the price-quality ratio does seem a bit high: the location clearly impacts the bill. Despite this, the experience remains very pleasant overall, especially for the setting, the attentive service, and the pleasure of dining with such a view.
