A pleasant discovery in the center of Ceglie Messapica Passing through the land of the Messapians to meet some friends, we were invited to this tavern and we were thrilled. The location is enchanting: a historic building with barrel vaults, furnished with vintage copper pans and ladles, which immediately evoke the flavors and traditions of the past. The staff is courteous and attentive, always ready to accommodate every request. The fish is fresh and the raw seafood is really good. Both the appetizers and the main courses have generous portions, perfect for those who love to eat with taste. Among the dishes that impressed us the most, the fava bean puree with chicory stands out - a classic from Puglia, authentic and full of flavors that bring to mind the stories of our grandparents. The quality of the raw materials is excellent: from the mozzarella to the capocollo of Martina Franca, everything is taken care of in detail. Also not to be missed is the fish on the trolley, selected with experience. Special thanks to Salvatore and Graziana for letting us discover this little gem. It certainly won't be a goodbye, but a see you later!

I was there for a birthday and the birthday boy had opted for a fixed menu including appetizers, a first course and a second course. Nothing special about the appetizers as we ate the usual things we are used to such as anchovies, bread croutons, cold cuts with cheeses, pizza dough fritters etc.. if you are looking for something different from the usual appetizers this is not the right place. The first courses did not excite anyone and there were 12 of us at the table, average for what you can find everywhere while the meat was good and someone asked for seconds. The owner who at the end of the service asked the birthday boy to leave a tip to the waiters was not very appropriate PS regarding the owner's response. I don't think I said I didn't like your menu in fact I gave 4 out of 5 for the food and also for the service as well as the overall review. I don't allow myself to judge the events between you and the birthday boy because I wasn't there

Un posto accogliente, un menù vario, una cortesia sopraffine. Prezzi giusti. Pesce o carne è indifferente. La taverna è un locale consigliato

Il mio ristorante preferito,appena possibile ci torno spesso ,ho festeggiato qui compleanni e cene o pranzi con amici. Il servizio è impeccabile a cominciare dal proprietario mimmo ,ai ragazzi molto garbati educati, mai invadenti. Sabato sera abbiamo assaggiato una serie di antipasti saporiti e abbondanti ,ma soprattutto curati e ben presentati. Abbiamo poi optato per un buon primo con pesce fresco(scorfano),delizioso. Per il secondo non c'era più spazio e mimmo ci ha portato i suoi rosoli,al mandarino, limoncello e cherry con pezzi di crostata alle mele cotone. Il conto più che onesto, lo consiglio vivamente.
