The food was good, but not *that* good. It was also really too expensive for these small portions. A shame, because we had been really looking forward to it beforehand. Could it be that tourists get a different menu (and price?) than the locals?

We had a wonderful meal at La Taverna and most people won’t find it because it’s tucked into a side street off of one of the central streets in the village of Palau. I loved the spider crab pasta I had and my husband had the pasta with seafood, which was also deliciou. Lots of Italians were eating there when we did.

23/05/2026: Quiet place, friendly owner and staff, we ate very well and they also have an excellent quality of wines/bubbles.
16/04/2026: We went for lunch with colleagues two days in a row. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent. Impeccable service. The pasta was perhaps a little salty, but overall, nothing to complain about.
