Nice place, but it's very hot inside, perhaps because the split air conditioning was old, I don't know... another one was off. It's stuffy. On the other hand, the food is good, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are quite high, but the food is good. Unfortunately, prices are very high in central Pisa.

Amazing food and experience here. We stayed for 4 days in Pisa and had dinner here twice. I just want to say all the staff are so polite and friendly and some of the best food we have had. The steak, meatballs, lamb all so tasty. Please visit this place it is so amazing. Thank you guys for a great time, perfecto!

We found this place through a popular app and were truly lucky. The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, ideal for a pleasant time. The cuisine is excellent, with well-prepared dishes and quality ingredients. We particularly enjoyed the vegetable risotto, tasty and well-balanced in flavor. A truly worthwhile experience. I highly recommend it.

A pleasant dinner in an authentic osteria! I had the pleasure of dining at Osteria La Mescita during a visit to Pisa and thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere is intimate and informal, typical of a true osteria, with a convivial and relaxed atmosphere. The staff is courteous and helpful, the food is good and authentic, and the prices are fair, especially considering its proximity to the city center. I sampled an excellent trio of crostini, tasty first courses, flavorful second courses, and finished with classic cantucci and Vin Santo. Recommended for those seeking simple yet refined cuisine and a genuine welcome.

Recommended to us by our hotel, what a fabulous restaurant. From the moment we sat down our lovely waitress (sorry I don’t remember her name) was very attentive and we were fully informed of the menu choices. The food was outstanding. Apparently it’s the best risotto my dad has ever had ! Amazing flavours and cooked to perfection. We only gave less stars for the warmth inside the restaurant. It was a very hot day and the air conditioning needs updating. This is, however, in the plans but understandably not during the high season we are currently in. We highly recommend this charming restaurant.

ho cercato una trattoria tipica e mi ha incuriosito questa. Buona scelta di piatti, pochi ma preparati sapientemente. locale vintage, come da tradizione delle osterie, personale molto gentile e preparato. rapporto prezzo qualità più che corretto. BRAVI. grazie

Tra i vicoli del centro,abbiamo scovato questa osteria storica dal 1902 dove ad accoglierci c’era il Sign Pietro che ci ha fatto subito accomodare in una sala piena di bottiglie di vino arredata il modo spartano,abbiamo assaggiato un tagliere di salumi molto buoni,tortellini con un ragù pieno di sapore e una tagliata con patate a forno,il tutto accompagnato da un buon rosso locale,prezzi un po’ alti rispetto alle altre osterie ma vale la pena assaporare questi piatti che profumano di Toscana.

29/06/2025: Visitamos este restaurante dos veces en la semana cuando nos alojamos en Colleoli y en ambas ocasiones disfrutamos de excelente comida y hospitalidad. El menú era variado, pero de un tamaño que denota todo lo que se ofrece se preparó en el lugar. Los filetes se cocinan a fuego abierto y son deliciosos (y grandes). Me sorprendió un poco el “cochinillo” que era más como un filete de cerdo pero muy tierno cubierto de una deliciosa salsa. Tanto la casa de vinos blancos y tintos eran buenos. No tenía suficiente espacio para pudines, pero los que se muestran se veían deliciosos. Volvería a este encantador restaurante en cualquier visita a la zona. Si es posible, elegiría comer fuera, ya que comer en nos encontramos un poco caliente - apareció sin previo aviso la primera vez y todos los ventiladores se llevaron. Sin embargo, el comedor interno era hermoso, así como todo el edificio. Por último, quisiera señalar que el personal en servicio es encantador y un gran crédito para la señora que dirige toda la operación.
