La Mela Verde is tucked away on a quiet street in Venice, and it definitely deserves your attention. The gelato is soft, smooth, and honestly the best I had while in Venice. The pistachio flavor tastes like real pistachio, not artificial at all, and you absolutely have to try it. I also loved the chocolate scoop. Highly recommend!

In 4 days in Venice we tried 8 ice cream shops. This one is definitely at the top of the list. The place by the very small narrow canal is cozy and the atmosphere is quite laid back.

14/08/2026: Excellent restaurant by the canal, just a 5-minute walk from our hotel. The waiters were attentive and welcoming. The spaghetti carbonara was delicious.
13/08/2026: Bit on the expensive side, yet better priced than most around. Keep in mind is Venice city center. That said, I recommend a prosciutto & burrata as antipasto + Basura with scampi and shrimp & carbonara as primo for a much better than average lunch.

13/05/2026: Ristorante da Buso is number 1!! Quality, attention, and care—I don't think you could ask for more... our returns to Caorle are mainly for them.
02/05/2026: We were there yesterday, May 1st. I booked after seeing the reviews here. The atmosphere was wonderful and relaxing; despite the crowd, there was no sense of stress from the service. Excellent food. Everything we ate was excellent. The service was top-notch. The staff was super efficient, very kind and helpful, even with my furry friend. My heartfelt congratulations. Thank you for your hospitality. We'll be back.
