Situato nella parte alta del Sasso Caveoso, ai confini con il centro storico di Matera è un ristorante ambientato in un edificio tipico del Sasso che si sviluppa scendendo sotto il livello della strada. Gestito in modo familiare con personale disponibile e loquace. Molto buona la cucina base di prodotti tipici della Lucania. Nella sala più profonda (livello cantina) è allestita una piccola sala cinema dove vengono proiettati e riproposti a ciclo continuo spezzoni di film girati a Matera.

Marvelous. Exquisite and authentic food, very kind staff, wonderful atmosphere. In the basement there is a small cinema where you can see clips of all the films shot in Matera, a real plus! I will recommend it. Thank you.

Excellent homemade dishes.
It is advisable to book.
On the lowest floor there is a cinema room where it is possible to watch (about 30 minutes) the most important films shot in Matera.
The style is ancient, so you eat on old-fashioned tables (not all of them) which are a little higher than the seat.

Extraordinary location, immersed in the true history of Matera, the owners and staff wrapped us in a warm embrace, traditional flavors with a touch of personality, you can see all the research in the raw materials, the dishes returned to the kitchen spotlessly clean, starters highly recommended , sweets and cod.
