A delightful discovery, recommended to me by a friend, and I'm grateful. The atmosphere is truly charming, with attention to every detail, harmony, and exquisite taste. It makes you feel at ease, and like a treasure chest, it contains a surprise downstairs... Magic of magic, a little cinema!
The tasting menus tell the story of the Lucanian regions that inspired them. Everything is done with respect for tradition and simplicity. I absolutely must return to try the other delicacies.
The owner and her staff, Andrea and Paolo, are extremely kind. Don't miss it.

It wasn't quite what we imagined. It was recommended to us by the owner of the Airbnb where we stayed, but it fell short. My husband chose a dish that was the "chef's surprise," and it was a mediocre surprise. To us, it was clear that it was a "touristy" place. If you're looking for quality food, this wasn't the place for us.

Everything was wonderful !
This was the best food and service we have had in a long time! Many thanks to our brilliant waiter Andrea for your very warm welcome and great food and wine recommendations. Every dish was typical, local and a treat, even more so with the beautiful surroundings inside the cave. Definitely worth a visit.

Dinner at this restaurant was an experience to remember. It's a cave-like house that you go down to a very deep depth. The decor complements the intricate architecture carved into the rock and gives it a very warm atmosphere. We tasted two typical dishes from Basilicata cuisine: "Parmigiana di melanzane" and "spaghetto con sugo di baccalà." We thought they were magnificent, full of flavor. The shared tiramisu was a step below the previous dishes. The service was professional, although somewhat cold and distant.

Ristorante nel centro dei sassi di Matera, noi abbiamo mangiato all’interno seguendo una scala che conduce ad un locale cinema dove vengono proiettati spezzoni di film girati a Matera. Veramente originale in più il cibo è veramente ottimo ed il personale oltre che gentile e professionale è molto simpatico. Ristorante da provare!
