La Locanda del Gatto Rosso In Milano

The restaurant is located in a gallery, so the location is stunning. It's very elegant and well-decorated, and the staff is friendly and professional (especially the very charming red-haired waiter). We had a delicious risotto alla milanese in a parmesan crust. The cotoletta alla milanese is a must-try, as the meat melted in your mouth. The bill is a bit steep, but the location justifies it. We'll definitely be back.

The carbonara was decent, but the place clearly lacks the basics: spices and olive oil. We hadn't even had time to dress the salad before the waiter took it away to serve it to another table. In my opinion, this is unusual. The salads themselves weren't bad, but we noticed something strange: we had two Caesar salads, but they were visibly different. One had a lot of cheese, the other almost none. It's really strange to serve such different portions at the same table. Otherwise, everything was more or less acceptable.

Minestrone alla Milanese was good but a tad too salty for me. I was expecting a tomato based minestrone, but I guess this is a milan style.

I had heard good things about this restaurant but I didn't think I would eat so well... risotto among the best in Milan, excellent fish, congratulations, we will be back

We ate well, it was easy to find a place with plenty of seats in the right part of the Victorian gallery.

The food was very basic Not bad but not that good You may try different places with much better pizza and pasta And the prices were high

Had a quick stop in Milan and while visiting Duomo and gallery, found this place for dinner. Service is great, staff is friendly and welcoming. Prices are pretty reasonable considering the location. Bolognese was tasty (even though there was no Parmesan cheese), and served quickly. But it’s been a surprise when the bread basket was included to the bill (+5€) as I assumed this was complementary, since I haven’t ordered it. Don’t know, maybe this was their punishment for me for ordering cappuccino at 6 pm 😅 speaking of which, coffee was accompanied with their signature sweets (almond meringue if I’m not mistaken), these are pretty good and luckily I wasn’t charged for these extra 👌 Overall, it’s a nice place, but the bread basket charge felt like a tourist scam 🥲

Excelente servicio, buena comida y gran gente mirando! Gran variedad en el menú y los precios no estaban tan mal para la ubicación. Camarero era amable y paciente con mi terrible Italiano. Su Inglés era muy bueno... jajaja.
