La Grotta di Bruno Onofrio In Palermo

We arrived at our accommodation nearby at 10 p.m. and wanted to eat something. The staff was super nice and offered us pizza and appetizers. The quality of the food was very good and it was really reasonably priced. A great first evening in Palermo. Can really recommend the trattoria.

Very nice trattoria, particularly busy on weekends. English is understood, but knowledge of Italian is definitely a big help. The restaurant is almost exclusively visited by locals, as a tourist I was alone here - The food itself is very good, traditional Sicilian cuisine with very reasonable prices. Recommended!

Sono passatti 10 anni da quando non ci andavo ma è sempre tutto uguale il posto e accogliente è la pizza e buona davverro..

You want to eat fine pizzas or pasta in a traditional place ? Leave the historic center and its tourist menus behind and enter La grotta ! Accept the tv playing loud and enjoy. This trattoria and its service made me happy. You'd better speak a few words italian :-)

Good pizzeria, excellent quality/price ratio

Un abbraccio a tutti ed un ringraziamento particolare al Sig. Mario che si occupa dei tavoli. Siamo Paola e Riccardo di Torino, e per molti giorni siamo venuti alla sera a cena , tra persone veramente simpatiche ed ospitali. After crisscrossing central Palermo in all directions and testing restaurants and street food, I came back to La Grotta! This restaurant is a little out of the way but the welcome, the quality of the dishes and their prices are worth the detour. No blaring music or insistent touts here. The atmosphere is family, local. Each time I was the only tourist in the room. It also offers delivery but I haven't tested it. If I come back to Palermo I would go back!!!

Fantastic bourgeois restaurant. This is also where the locals come to eat and the prices and taste are unbeatable. It couldn't be more authentic. We've had dinner twice now, even though they didn't speak a word of English, they were still able to communicate. I can recommend everyone to come and eat here.

Everything is fine but it's a bit slow.
